Sharks are ancient creatures, even older than the dinosaurs. Evolution has molded them into perfect killing machines, but they lack something the other creatures use to their advantage: teamwork.

Being the largest and most powerful of the sharks, Drybone Megalodon left the Drybone Badlands to return to the sea and unite his fellow sharks against the nasty birds, dragons, and other filthy land animals who have forgotten their place. "The only reason these monsters of the land can defeat us is because we sharks are always alone and they always work together. This stops now! From now on, we sharks will work as a team, and as a team, we will be invincible!" the Drybone Megalodon told his new army.

The sharks' attack took everyone by surprise. The Sabre Shark, Wave Runner, and Demented Shark terrorized the sea, while the Diemonshark's aerial assaults were so fast and fierce that the enemy never even knew what hit them. The mighty Drybone Megalodon did what no other shark could do: a colossal land attack.

The combined power of all the sharks wreaked chaos and absolute destruction throughout the Splinterlands. Every fort, city, and castle was now in ruins. Even the dragons, who had always dominated the skies, now hid in their caves, not daring to become shark food. In the end, the sharks did what many thought was impossible. They transformed from solitary hunters to a mighty and unstoppable army.

Hello, fellow Splinterlands players. Did you like my attempt to expand on our lore? I love my dragons and unicorns, but today I thought it would be fun to focus on the sharks. Did I mention all the sharks in the game? Did I miss any?

How's your card-building journey going so far? In the last batch of Reward cards, I took my time and fooled around pulling random cards, but not this time. For this batch of cards, I focused all of my Glint on purchasing Common cards. It takes 400 cards to get Commons to MAX, and there are 12 Common Rebellion Soulbound Reward cards. That's a total of 4,800 cards or 720,000 Glint to get all of these guys up to MAX-level. I currently get around 300 Glint per win, so it took me 2,400 battle wins to get there. You could also go to the market and pick these cards up, but I don't see many MAX-level cards for sale, so you'd have to buy them one by one, costing about $40 per card or $480 for all 12 Common cards.

Are these cards really worth that much? I really don't think so, but I'm glad that it would cost a pretty penny for some new whale to just show up today and pick up every card at MAX-level on the cheap like they used to. Back when Chaos was new and there were new Reward cards, I'd just wait a month or so for the prices to tank and I would scoop them up cheaply. Thankfully, the unlock process has made that much more difficult and expensive. Reward cards should be just that: cards you get rewarded for playing the game, not for having the most cash.

What do you guys think? Are you using the new Reward cards often? Some of them are not even worth mentioning until they get to MAX-level, but I feel they are, for the most part, weaker than Reward cards from the past. However, I'm still happy to see my deck grow. Thanks for reading about my shark story and Reward card collection progress today. Have a good one and I'll see you on the battlefield!
