👻Synergy-of-Death👻

A Will-o'-Wisp is a type of death elemental that appears as a hazy ball of light, often mistaken for a flaming torch or lantern. In fact, its purple, flaming body is a transparent ball of mana. It floats where it pleases, drifting through sprawling cities and picturesque countryside alike. When it rains, you might hear the faint hiss and splutter of energy as the water breaks across it, unable to punctuate its phantasmal shell.

It's too bad that I didn't write this a week or two ago because it would've made for a great Halloween-themed post, but it's always 🎃Halloween🎃 at the 💀DEATH💀 Splinter! This week's Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is to find cards that work well together as a team. I think my 💀DEATH💀 Splinter match with the Skok Duskblight magic attack weapons training Will-o'-Wisp and Riftwing as well as Raa who scatter shots two ranged attacks in case the enemy uses magic shielding (Which they did.) is a perfect example of how once thought of as useless cards have become OP because of new ways that cards can work together or synergize.

Almost ninety percent of Splinterlands battle SOP is putting out a tank in the front position. Harklaw isn't exactly the best tank in the game, but sometimes when using the 💀DEATH💀 Splinter, he's your only good option. He didn't survive the battle, but at least he put up a good fight long enough for the magic attackers to destroy our enemy before he fell.

Weapons training has been around long enough that you've probably seen it by now, but it's still a relatively new ability, so not too many cards can train their adjacent cards to magic or range attack. Skok Duskblight teaches magic, so he's one of the most OP cards in the game. When using weapons training cards, it's best to put them between two non-attack cards so that two additional cards strike your enemy instead of just one.

The old Will-o'-Wisp was a useless card other than a meatshield until I got my hands on Skok Duskblight to train it. It was a reward card that I was only lucky enough to win a few times, so I never got the chance to MAX it out, but my low-level version is still helping win GLINT and SPS.

After seeing a MAX-level Riftwing avoid and dodge an unbelievable amount of attacks, I rushed to the market to start leveling mine up as well. It is one of the best meatshields in the game, but give it some magic attack? It is fantastic.

Raa is definitely the coolest looking card today, but his scatter shooting two random ranged attacks really came in handy. He's a bit pricey mana-wise, so I only bring him out in battles where mana ain't no thing.

My enemy was another magic spammer, but so was I, and my archon dropped his magic attacks by one. He unfortunately had magic shields, but I got through them before they could get through my Harklaw. They also used a Gladiator card, which can become unstoppable once they go on a killing spree and improve all their stats with each kill, but I cut their Captain Katie down before she could.

Thanks for reading about my 💀DEATH💀 Splinter cards working together nicely thanks to weapons training today. I also like using a taunt card in the rear and making sure it gets plenty of healing so it survives the battle while distracting and drawing in enemy attacks, while I smash through their weak spot. What about you? What's your favorite strategy using synergy and teamwork?
