About Last Weekend : Swimming On The Saturday, Learning NFTs On The Sunday

I always wanted to spend at least a single day on my weekend outside - on road trips, beaches, resorts, malls, cafes, restaurants, wet markets, and spas. As I entered my late twenties, it has become a part of my weekly routine. I always feel like it's a great reward for the tough jobs accomplished within the week. Of course, I always wanted to spend it with my loved ones - family and friends.

So for the last weekend, Saturday, I went with my travel buddies slash close friends to Bluewater Beach Resort just within our city. My travel dudes are from the Northeast of the city, while I'm from the opposite direction. So, we just agreed to meet at the resort by 2:00 in the afternoon.

Bluewater was not really in our plan for last Saturday, I had some errands scheduled on the day, well I think they too had. But, I finished everything I had to do in the morning, and I got the whole afternoon to just nap and rest. I was free for like the next 12 hours.

Since we had just availed of the Bluewater Bliss membership, which means we have all the access to the resort's amenities for the 18 long months - the pools, beach, gym, and 50 percent discount for the food (in all the resorts' branches), we had decided to give that good deal our first try.

Moving forward, I arrived at the resort at 3:00 pm, I was an hour late. haha! My bad!

They were already there swimming in the pools, and I was just like on the bench near, looking at them. It was cold, the holiday season is in the air. So, I never had used my swimming attire that day. You know I'm a fish but I only like the lukewarm water, I become sluggish and inactive in the cold.

The whole time my friends were dipping in the pool, I was just there in one corner avoiding getting wet, but was conversing audibly with them anyhow.

Right after their swimming, we went over to Allegro (the resort's restaurant) for some snacks and refreshments.

We had Margareta Pizza, Fish and Dips, and Lemon Grass Cooler.

The pizza costs $10, while the Fish and Dips is $7, and the Lemon Grass is $6. Yes, their food is a bit costly, but they are way perfect for my taste buds. They taste really good, they're worth the price. Our total bill was $23, but with the 50 percent discount for the bliss membership, we had just paid around $12.

After the light snacks, we readied, and left for Merkato de Mactan (a food market nearby) for our dinner. Haha! Yeah, you might be thinking we were just done having our snacks, and then still wanting for more for dinner. Anyways, we just took the food out, and just prepared them for later consumption. We might get hungry again by the time we arrived home, so better be ready.

At 7:00 in the evening we were all heading home.

So my Saturday was just so fine - being with good people in a good place over good food, I had enough of the recharging I need for the following week's battle.

On the next day, Sunday, I woke up at 7:00 in the morning. And immediately readied for the church with the whole fam, except for our pet dog tho. We left home at 8:45am. The church service started at 9:00 and ended at 12:00 noon, well that's the usual time for our regular Sunday service.

So it always goes that the whole afternoon is my rest and nap time. But what's new with the last Sunday was that I had my little screen opened the whole time in the afternoon, I had a virtual meetup to attend at 5:00 pm.

I had workmates that I invited into Hive, and thankfully indayclara scheduled them an orientation last Sunday. I attended my workmates' Hive orientation that day. And I guess, they are now drafting their introductory post to finally get onboarded. All thanks to @indayclara for the quick and positive response to my workmates' interest to join Hive.

The orientation took almost an hour. So there was still an hour too to prepare for the Hive talks later at 7:00 that evening.

And yes, at as early as 7:00 I got in the Hive PH discord where the talk took place, and with that being early, I had been rewarded with HBD by Kim. Happy here! 😄

The talk was about NFTs, one of the things I really got interested in learning. So it was an interesting session for me. The talk ran for an hour and 45 minutes. Right after the talk, I started to draft my blog about the things that had happened during the Hive talk on NFTs. But I wasn't able to finish it that evening, so I gave it some time early morning the next day.

I was very glad that my Saturday and Sunday last week were way productive and fruitful than ever. I had accomplished a lot of things, and that somehow made me feel good and awesome about myself.
