Deeplurker ~ Splinterlands Share Your Battle Challenge
I think Chaos Legion cards are generally better than the older editions. It seems the Splinterlands design team has honed all their learnings from the past releases to build a new set of cards that both complement and upstage the previous editions. Reading other players' feedback, it seems I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Despite having a favorable impression of the new edition cards, I still often use the leveled Alpha and Beta cards that I own. I don't want to spend more money on renting since the ones I got are still capable enough to win battles. So I'm thankful for Splinterlands Battle Challenges for giving me the extra push to get to know and rent some of the new Chaos cards. If not for the challenges, I'll be stuck avoiding the Chaos cards until I grow the ones I own into a decent level.
Deeplurker: Chaos Legion - Water Splinter
Deeplurker is this week's Share Your Battle Challenge's featured card and the third Chaos Legion card to have been featured. The monster has six mana costs and Opportunity as a primary skill. Extra skills, Poison and Demoralize, unlocked at levels 6 and 10, respectively.

Assembling my Team: Time to Call for Some Backup
Opportunity is a cool skill that lets any monster attack the enemy monster with the lowest health points. The skill was first introduced in the Untamed edition. And along with it came a team of formidable all-melee Water splinter monsters. And since Deeplurker has the skill, the new Chaos kid will be a perfect fit.
Aside from renting a level 5 Deeplurker, I'm also calling in some more Untamed monsters from the rental marketplace. I'm sure you've seen enough of these Untamed guys already so I'll only briefly talk about them. Note that as I'm on Silver leagues, I'm renting them at max levels: lv 5 for commons and lv 4 for rares.

I got a level 5 Feasting Seaweed to tag-team with Deeplurker as they both got Opportunity. I'm hoping they'll make short work of the enemy's weakest with their two-fold attack combo.
Wave Runner at level 5 joins in too. It will take a spot in a slightly more protected 2nd position where it hopefully stuns some enemies. It's one of the rare cards having multiple skills within the Silve league cap, so I like it even more.
Since I'm planning for an all-melee team, Demented Shark fits well with its melee attack boost. It's got high health so it may work as a tank if the occasion calls for it.
And lastly for the summoner ... I picked a level 4 Bortus. The Chaos summoner, Kelya Frendul, would have been a better fit for this team for most battles. But Bortus, with its magic attack debuff, is not a bad choice either. Plus, it's around 10 DEC cheaper to rent lol.
I rented Deeplurker and all the other cards for 27.225 DEC a day.
The Best Rulesets for Opportunity Skill
My all-melee Water splinter team has a solid team synergy, so it's not surprising that it had a high win rate. I was even able to earn back their rent cost within a few battles. Out of several good ones, let's take a look at this specific battle. If there's a set of ruleset where Opportunity skill shines the most, then it'll probably be this.

Fog of War disables all Snipe and Sneak skills but, for some reason, Opportunity is still okay. With this ruleset, the opponent may be more negligent in protecting their backline monsters because of the absence of Snipe and Sneak. This potential weakness can be exploited with Opportunity. And the other ruleset, Explosive Weaponry, is a match made in heaven for Opportunity and Snipe since it enables monsters to deal damage to up to three monsters in one turn.

My opponent's buffed-up magic team feels menacing. Level 2 Queen Mycelia's Fortify skill is a good counter for melee attackers so it had me a bit worried.
But I may have worried for nothing. The opponent's backline monsters are oh-so frail, just ripe for Opportunity monsters to pick on. Within the first round, my Deeplurker aimed for the weakest monster, Goblin Sorcerer. It took out the enemy monster after Goblin Sorcerer's armor was previously destroyed by splash damage. My Feasting Seaweed mirrored Deeplurker's move and eliminated the next frailest monster, Mycelia.

My Deeplurker hits Goblin Sorcerer with five damage, which then triggers a three-point splash damage to Mycelia and Failed Summoner

With Queen Mycerlia's armor obliterated by Deeplurker's splash hit, Feasting Sweed finishes it off and deals splash damage to Failed Summoner and Khmer Princess.
Without Mycelia's armor buff, the remaining enemy monsters fell off one by one by the second round. Feasting Seaweed deals the final blow to Mushroom Seer as the last enemy standing. It was an overwhelming win due to my team having a huge advantage brought by the two rulesets.

Good game!
The opponent seems to have fallen to the Fog of War trap where you think the backline monsters are fairly safe with the absence of Snipe and Sneak. My Opportunity monsters took full advantage of that. Also, their two-point armor from Fortify did not do much protecting. The high splash damage coming from my monsters was enough to remove them using no extra move.
To End
Is Deeplurker a good card to play? Yes. The six mana requirement may be moderately high but it's well worth it, especially if you have Deeplurker at higher levels. It is strong individually but further shines if you utilize its synergy with Water splinter monsters from the older editions.
Now, since we're getting into the newer Chaos Legion cards, I'd like to open another point of discussion ...
Is Deeplurker better than the older edition cards? Yes, its closest counterpart is Untamed's Feasting Seaweed as both have the Opportunity skill. Despite having a higher mana cost, its overall higher stats are enough to warrant the extra two mana. If you have to pick one of the two, choose Deeplurker. But if you are able, place them both on your team.
