SPECULATIONS ON CHINA'S POPULATION SHRINK

China is the world's most populous country in the world but all of that is about to change now or so it seem.

Way back in school it used to be a very common question for current affairs when they ask for the most populous nation in the world. China was always first in our minds but, sadly, something is about to change.

It's been heard that there have been some stringent regulations on birth control and even the responsibility on parents of children exceeding the quota set by Government.

The world's most populous country is about to shrink indeed.

Over the last four decades, the population according to the bureau of statistics has risen from 666 million to about 1.4 billion.

However, over the next few years, we have seen a massive decline in these numbers and this is because of the reduced rates of birth I have been recorded in the country.

Demographically and politically these numbers mean a lot as the people contribute and build massively to civilization and technology.

The most important part of the population that contributes to production had those who are healthy and young. The youth demography however in China is quite massive despite the decline. According to statistics from Newsweek It is known that about 65% of the population are between the working age of 15 to 59.

These numbers come into be very good as it gives about 30% to be shared amongst the elderly and does not old enough to work.

Three main factors contribute to the population of a nation the birth rate, the death rate and rates of immigration.

One of the major causes of this shrink is the reduced birth rate which has been recorded even though a new law was made for women to have only three children to help the numbers go up.

This could also be traced back to a research study which revealed that about 44% of young ladies in China do not hope to get married and so cannot also have a birth permit. Lol. That's a lot to think of. So who takes care of kids outside wedlock.

Covid may have also contributed to it to some extent affecting a majority of adults. Although that may not have been considered in the speculation made.

Different countries have different cultures and policies that seem to have helped them and they are to be ready for whatever consequences that their policies might resolve. It is expected that newer policy and made to curb this declining population and to keep the nation still as productive as ever.
