Leofinance: Hive onboarding made easy

Leofinance is a gift that keeps giving, from introducing us to learning ad bloging while earning, to defi 2.0 with futuristic ability. It has now gone on to solve the huge issue of difficulty when onboarding.

I have an onboarding and tutorial program where I load and coach folks about hive and the good opportunities. A lot of people have benefited from this and I m sure a lot more will soon. I have had the help of @deraaa and @draysax.

Overcoming the learning curve is quite hectic we must agree especially to the less crypto aware folks who happen to find hive interesting. We plan to have a zoom meeting sometime today.

In this post, I want highlight some on boarding difficulties and how we overcame them.

I always say that onbording on such a platform as this even tho it is not free, it should be easy. Yes onboarding is not free in case you are a newbie reading this, if you got here free, someone paid for you, actually, hivers paid for you by delegating their HP for you to have what it took to create your account. And the leofinance has stepped it up by going all the way to introduce easier on boarding through web 2.0 platform like twitter and recently Facebook.

This is a great deal of success and so much can be achieved this way, it means anyone with a Facebook account is just a few clicks away from this beautiful blessing called Hive.

@ukwu1991 is arguably the best Nigerian jazz pianist I have met so far, he onboarded recently with my help, he is yet to make a post but the challenge we had was at his confirmation, SMS seemed not to be working but the moment we tried twitter it was a breeze.

@olubukky is a multi talented and funny medical colleague and I remember we had to do a live call for a few minutes of me showing her a few things at the point before we had a harsh free onboard made. She is also yet to make an intro, hopefully soon.

Yesterday I missed out on the fun on PYPT show where I would have raised this matter of onboarding. I had been in the trust of a very wrong person. I m glad good came out after all.

If we can go one step further, I would suggest this to the leofinance team.



  1. A 3 to 5min video on the onboard page explaining a few things like the 3steps outlined, if it could be a video embedded, a few people are so anxious while on that page that they just miss something out.

  2. The page often takes time to load especial using SMS, some of my newbies appeared to be scared of giving permission to a leofinance they knew less about of their social media. I had to reassure them severally.

  3. Can we go a step further, can we onboard through tiktok?, I am not sure how this goes, but lately I have found so many creative their really working had to get followers and being funny at it just to make ends meet. If they knew what gold mine we have here they might switch sides and use all that energy on the block chain. Tiktok is a great app tho and I have followed @khaleelkazi on tiktok khal account and learning much more.

The importance of the mentorship concept for onboarding cannot be overemphasised.
Imagine if they had no one to help them with the challenges faced.

interesting to come across this. I just started writing a seris about Hive for newbies. Some of it coming from a Twitter space I help to co-host on Tuesday evenings.
