Bramble Pixie - Splinterlands Art Contest Week

Hello everyone! I hope you are all feeling great. Today I want to share with you a digital drawing I created to participate in this week's Splinterlands art contest. The inspiration for this illustration comes from a common Splinterlands Splinter card, known as Bramble Pixie. Below, I'll tell you the story behind this letter:

¡Hola a todos! Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo digital que he creado para participar en el concurso de arte de esta semana de Splinterlands. La inspiración para esta ilustración proviene de una carta común del Splinter de Tierra, conocida como Bramble Pixie. A continuación, les contaré la historia detrás de esta carta:

"Mischievous and violent creatures, bramble pixies live in abundance on the forest realm of Folia, where they spend their time tormenting woodland creatures, laying traps, and making a general nuisance of themselves. They have a nasty penchant for wrapping the deadly hedge-scoke bramble around their blades. The sap of this bramble is known to enhance emotion—particularly anger—and the bramble pixie is prone to striking at their foes in a deadly rage, stabbing the life out of them.

When the Riftwatchers visited Folia, some of these pixies stowed away in their packs. During the journey through the rifts to Praetoria something happened to their wings and when they arrived they were unable to fly; however, you can always hear the angry buzz of their wings when they attack. While they've learned to avoid contact with the hedge-scoke bramble's sap, the bramble pixies haven't lost their mischievous streak, which can be a painful annoyance to their Riftwatcher allies."

"Criaturas traviesas y violentas, las hadas de zarzas abundan en el reino forestal de Folia, donde pasan el tiempo atormentando a las criaturas del bosque, tendiendo trampas y causando molestias. Tienen la desagradable manía de envolver sus hojas con la mortífera zarza. Se sabe que la savia de esta zarza aumenta las emociones, especialmente la ira, y las hadas de zarzas son propensas a atacar a sus enemigos con una furia mortal, apuñalándolos hasta la muerte.

Cuando los Vigilantes de las Grietas visitaron Folia, algunas de estas hadas se escondieron en sus mochilas. Durante el viaje a través de las grietas hacia Praetoria, algo les ocurrió a sus alas y, al llegar, no pudieron volar; sin embargo, siempre se puede oír el furioso zumbido de sus alas cuando atacan. Si bien han aprendido a evitar el contacto con la savia de la zarza, los duendes de las zarzas no han perdido su lado travieso, que puede ser una molestia dolorosa para sus aliados los Vigilantes de la Grieta."

To create this drawing, I made several adjustments to the design of the main character of the post. As a first step, I looked for a reference that would allow me to materialize the idea I had in mind about the main character. I found an image that met the key characteristics I needed, drawing inspiration from the story of the letter to give more depth to the concept. I managed to complete this work in about 8 hours.

Para crear este dibujo, realicé varios ajustes al diseño del personaje principal del post. Como primer paso, busqué una referencia que me permitiera materializar la idea que tenía en mente sobre el protagonista. Encontré una imagen que reunía las características clave que necesitaba, inspirándome en la historia de la carta para darle más profundidad al concepto. Logré completar esta obra en aproximadamente 8 horas.

Espero que disfruten las imágenes que ilustran la transformación y evolución del personaje a lo largo del proceso creativo.

Process

At the sketching stage, I drew several guide lines in order to achieve a convincing resemblance to the reference image I had selected. I made numerous adjustments to the proportions of the face to perfect the details before moving on to the coloring phase.

En la etapa de boceto, tracé diversas líneas guía con el objetivo de alcanzar un parecido convincente con la imagen de referencia que había seleccionado. Realicé numerosos ajustes en las proporciones del rostro para perfeccionar los detalles antes de dar paso a la fase del coloreado.
