Rising Star: the Game

Okay guys, you know I go HARD on Splinterlands, but I think it's time I do a few posts involving other Hive Blockchain games, specifically starting with one of my other absolute favorites: Rising Star. Website here: https://www.risingstargame.com/

What is it?

Rising Star is another Hive Blockchain game that I play, which is focused on creating a band, touring and playing music from a lowly street performer all the way up to a Rock Star.

You start off with a single character, and slowly build up NFT cards through packs and missions in order to gain Tour Vehicles, Instruments, Singers, Groupies, Fans, etc.

Each mission is time-based, and requires x amount of time to complete, and rewards you with STARBITS, a currency used to buy packs and NFTs. Packs are about $2 or 10,000 Starbits. You can also purchase 12 Packs for 20 HIVE and receive a special card that can only be obtained by spending HIVE, it's more expensive though!

Missions require X amount of the previous mission, and a certain amount of Fans, Skill, and Level, before you can move to the next level of rewards, and so progression is through obtaining currency, building packs, and building your band and instruments up. Furthermore, each Zone is locked and requires obtaining a special card first, such as the Mid-Range Acoustic for Zone 2.

What I was doing:

My previous band setup is small, as I have not quite reached the level where I can start doing band auditions and unlocking new band members, but I currently have Katie as my Singer, with a Rare Mic, which has granted me a good amount of Luck and a lot of Fans, to increase my earnings. This was from about 1 month ago, right when I started to obtain my first F2P Packs!

It took me about a week to pull a new pack, although the first pack I pulled took almost a month and a half, I have a feeling it grows exponentially from here.

This is about $2 / week, as a rather small newbie into the game with only about 4 packs opened thus far. Packs can be bought directly for Wax, Hive, DEC, and many other currencies, so there's nothing stopping you from getting a boost and skipping right past me as a F2P player!

This game is entirely doable F2P though. I have not put anything into this game beyond the Starbits I've been given. This was primarily to see how accessible it is for players, and this game is one of THE most accessible on the entire blockchain IMO

Now what I'm doing:

Okay so a month has passed since I started to pickup in this game, and what's changed?

I gained my first Epic! MC Spud, and things started to really pick up from there, giving me the earnings and Mid-Range Acoustic Guitar I needed to reach Zone 2! As you can see, my earning potential exploded. In about 1 Month, I increased my Fans and Skill by 1500+, entirely F2P, and brought my earnings to about 1 new pack every 4 Days! Calculating that out, I am making around $5 a week, playing F2P... Imagine the potential when you actually put in something to get started and continue playing?

I believe this proves the potential of Rising Stars, even for F2P players! Though, I would recommend getting a 10 pack for about $20 to speed up the process exponentially

Limited Circulation

Each NFT in this game has a very low allocation of cards, for instance, my Epic MC Spud is one of 250 of the card that will exist! Rares are minted to 2500, making these very nice collectible items
