In October of 2018, a rare, 3,000-year-old, 7' base-relief sculpture sold for $31 million at Christie's New York, shattering the previous world record for Assyrian art.
This 4,300-year-old, camper-sized (6' X 8' cubed), 11.79 ton mega-sculpture is made of a solid block of granodiorite.
It used to be most of the west wall of Babylonia's Temple for Marduk and is expected to fetch at least $40 million at Sotheby's upcoming (and very exclusive) Mesopotamian Art and Artifacts auction.
Ahem...that's if it were real.
IT IS NOT.
The image is strictly Concept Art I created on a Sunday afternoon.
