The Most Broken Upcoming Reward Card: And No It Is Not Olivia

The Most Broken Upcoming Reward Card: And No It Is Not Olivia
Hey hey hey!
Pondering about Olivia of The Brooks, I found out that, no matter how promising Mimic is, it has some weaknesses. The first glaring weakness is the randomness. It has only 25% chance of acquiring RANDOM ability of the attacker. This means it is only guaranteed to obtain an ability 1 in 4 successful attacks to it. With 6 health and 1 armor, I don't think it can withstand 4 hits. If it can, the ability obtained may not be beneficial to her. Not to mention there are lots of abilities it cannot acquire like Targeting Abilities - sneak, opportunity, snipe and scatter, Weapons Training, Taunt and many more. And oh did I mention it can be dispelled. Yup, Olivia is not that OP as we would think she is.
So if Mimic is not that good, what's that Ability that would make a reward card broken?

Lets Talk About Execute

If the target has 2 or less health after a successful attack, perform another attack against the same unit.
This is the ability which I think will be a game changer in the Splinterverse. With some ability combined with it, Execute will be amazing. This is a lowkey Double Strike against low health units. Imagine giving this to high damage monster with Opportunity which targets low health units and Trample which kills the next opponent and if that next opponent is killed, it may 'execute' it too. Oh what do we have here! That card already exists and it is Thanalorian Blade.

| Lookout | ![]() | A unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity |
| Trample | ![]() | When a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team |

How Broken Is This Card?
Full transparency, I haven't tried this card nor am I a tester for the game. As a long-time player of Splinterlands, I somehow forsee this would be a broken card. Then again, I could be wrong but hear me out first. When it is used with summoners and other units, this card would work out its brokeness.
)Thanalorian Blade can reduce the damage of its adjacent allies because of Lookout ability. The Lookout ability reduces the damage from Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity attacks. That's why it is advisable to position it near Mycelic Slipspawn or Terraceous Hulk.
)

Under the Stampede Ruleset, the combination of Immortalis, Grund and Thanalorian Blade will cause a massive Stampede scenario. With Thanalorian Blade alone, she will target low health units with Opportunity, double-kill them instantly with Execute and Trample away to the next enemy unit.

Looking at the scenario above, ordinary Trample will start at Merdaali Guardian and stop at Pelacor Bandit. But with Execute, the Trample will continue down to Nerissa Tridawn. Now imagine another scenario where all of the opponents has less than 7 health. Thanalorian Blade can stampede through them if they don't have any armor.

Closing
I may be overthinking this but it sure is exciting to use this new reward card. Another one that adds to the excitement is the full mechanics of Execute that we will soon discover when the new Rebellion Reward Cards come. So that's all from me in this post. Thank you for reading.

oh nice jabee. i also think this one is op. hopefully they nerf it. I think removing the 1 armor on it would help and maybe reduce 1 damage or speed
Yeah nerfing its melee or speed would definitely balance this card out.
You know how to make this more overpowered?
Underboss Fabino, a Rebellion Summoner for Earth Splinter, can give +2 melee damage to up to 2 monsters. Put that into Grund and Thanalorian Blade. Then add Thane Newsong, a CL Rewards card that has Inspire ability.
Blade gets melee damage of 7 instead of 4 meaning his execute range is now 9 (7+2). If your opponent has 9 health or lower, without armor, they die.
OR
Dragon Summoner "Akane". Give Ambush to Thanalorian Blade in Stampede rules of combat. Game ends before even started.
The build is too expensive to rent so I scrapped the idea. Would've made an article about that. Feel free to use the idea if you want. Credit is optional. :)
I haven't given that much thought but you're right! Giving Thanalorian Blade with additional Melee using Underboss Fabino or Ambush using Akane are indeed amazing! Expensive build, that's true but bro when given enough mana, it's a superb build!
Thanks for the ideas bro, I appreciated it!
