Instant Poison Activation or a Bug

Whoa! Something crazy happened to me. I just had a battle in Splinterlands and a poisoned monster of mine died even before the battle happened. Crazy right? Let us look at the battle together and speculate why this happened. Is it a bug or an intended mechanism?

The Battle

As you can see, the rulesets are Counterspell, Reverse Speed and Noxious Fumes. For those who are not familiar with those rulesets here is a quick rundown:

Our units of course, got poisoned because of Noxious Fumes ruleset. But what's crazy is, my Spirit Hoarder died because of poison after being hit by Chaos Jailer's Ambush. The poison activated before Round 1 even ended.

Speculations

I showed this in the Tavern channel of Splinterlands Discord. At first I plan to report this immediately but I asked around first before freaking out the Tech Support. Here are some speculations (or explanations) that they told me.

Round 0

We all know that Poison, Earthquake and other ailments in Splinterlands activate every end of each round. In this case, when there is an Ambush monster in the mix, the moment all Ambush monsters get to attack is considered Round 0. So technically, the poison activates at the end of a round and that is Round 0 or we call it, Ambush Phase.

Double Poison

Another explanation is the case of Double Poison. Yes, Spirit Hoarder got poisoned twice. First poison is caused by the ruleset and the second is done by Chaos Jailer. Splinterlands do take note of this and when it happens, the poison gets activated immediately. When I was told about this, my mind was blown.

Visual Bug

At first I thought, maybe Chaos Jailer killed it at Ambush Phase. But when I looked at the footage carefully, Spirit Hoarder got 2 Armor and Chaos Jailer got 2 attack. So it's impossible CJ killed SH right? Then again, we can speculate that this is a Visual Bug. Maybe SH don't have an armor. Maybe CJ got Piercing as a hidden ability. Maybe SH gulped the poison immediately and said "Why prolong the agony?". Or.. maybe we are overthinking this? Anyways, what are your thoughts guys?
