I Bought Some Starter Packs And Here's What I Got
From the extra money I got and some HBD from blogging, I finally bought some Conclave Arcana Stater packs. I bought 13 packs from the shop just to get me starting again in lower leagues. I know it's not enough but hey, I can start small right? So without any further ado, here is process and the result of my purchase.
Buying Packs From The Store
Buying Conclave Arcana Starter Packs are as easy as 123. Once you got your DEC (either from Hive Engine or Binance), all we need to do is go to SHOP > Conclave Arcana.
There are a bunch of pack types to choose from. Stater packs contain 5 cards with one guaranteed Rare card. It only costs $1 or 1000 DEC (at peg). This is good for those who are new to the game and just starting out at the lower leagues. Standard packs costs more at 4000 DEC with 5 cards and a guaranteed Rare card or better. But unlike Starter cards, you have a chance to get Epic and Legendary cards. There is also a low chance to get Black and Arcane Foils. Alchemy Packs costs 12,000 DEC with 5 cards and 1 guaranteed Gold Foil. It has higher chances of getting a Black or Arcane cards. Finally, Legendary packs costs 24,000 DEC that has 1 guaranteed Legendary card among 5 cards. It has the highest chance to get Black and Arcane Foils. As I am just starting again, I bought some Starter Packs.
What I Got From The Packs
Here is my Gambler's Fallacy: Opening packs at 5 guarantees better cards. As these are just Starter packs, I am only hoping for Rare Archons. Getting some archons would pretty much set me up some strategies in game. Other than that, I would love have me some decent units to complement those archons and my Rebellion reward cards. Here is the first batch:
5 guaranteed Rares and 2 of them are Archons. I am quite lucky I got Kaylia Silverleaf as I am excited with an all Executors deck. This makes look forward to having Earth unit and Elves. I wonder how this would synergize with my Thanalorian Blade. What I noticed so far is that only few cards has secondary abilities, like Cavewise Wayfinder and Fenmoor Wood Troll. These cards would do me good in lower leagues. Let's try the next 5 packs.
Ok this one is even better! I got 7 Rares. No Archons but hey at least I got +2 extra Rares. At the moment I pretty hooked with Elves so having Silverleaf Ranger is good enough for me. I wonder what I would get from the last three.
I got my 3 guaranteed Rares and one of them is an Archon. Unfortunately, I am not so keen on having Kavor Skarn. It may be a dragon, but I heard there are only few Drakoshan in the game. I wonder if they will add more.
Closing
Overall, I am pretty happy with what I got from my purchase. Having three Archons on my side, would get me pretty far in Bronze (though I a currently Gold). Kaylia Silverleaf is the card I wanted the most to have currently. I am glad I got one copy. In the future, I might just purchase extra BCX of this card. Not unless a better Archon will come along. Fithe Bladestone is a delight since I got some dwarf cards and some fire units. Kavor Skarn is really not my type of a card but I am pretty sure it will come in handy in future fights.
As for units, Silverleaf Ranger is the apple of my eye. With Double Strike and 2 Range damage at level 1, this is a good card. Weary may cause it not to attack, but when RNG is good, it won't matter. So here is my purchase result. I do plan on buying some more to get me higher in the leagues. I enjoyed my game at the higher leagues last Modern rotation and I am still hoping I would get there again.
