Land 1.75 is on the way this March 18th. This is positive development to land as it includes a lot of additional resources and quality of life changes. Aside from Grain, land owners can now cultivate Wood, Iron and Stone. There will also be liquidity pools for each resource ensuring a seamless trading. It is really an exciting day for land owners. But what does this mean for casual players and non-land owners? Can we be able to participate in this land update without owning land? In this post, we will find out that Land 1.75 isn't just for land owners but also for non-land owners like us.

Land 1.75 Update

Land 1.75 isn't an ordinary update to Land. It changes resource gathering and trade and revolutionizes land utilization.

Worksites

Worksites are terrain-dependent. For example, Farm buildings are only constructible on terrains that are grain compatible. These are Plains, River, Bog and Lake. Logging Camps are only for producing Wood so, it can only be built on Swamps, Tundra, Jungle and Forests. Quarry can be built on Deserts, Canyon and Hills to produce Stone. Foundry, on the other hand, can only be built on Mountains, Badlands and Caldera to produce Iron ores. If you built a Grain worksite (Farm) in a non-graint compatible terrain, it will automatically be converted into the compatible worksite. For example, Mountain terrain lands will automatically convert Grain worksite into Iron worksite (Quarry).

Gameplay And UI Enhancements

New Map Filters are implemented for smoother land management. The new resources will be more scarce than grain with the following Production Rates Per Production Point Per Hour: Grain 0.02, Wood 0.005, Stone 0.002 and Iron 0.0005. Totem Fragments can only be found when harvesting from Research Huts, Castles, or Keeps. Ensuring rarity and exclusivity.

New Liquidity Pools

New liquidity pools will be added for the new resources: DEC-Wood, DEC-Iron and DEC-Stone. But despite the separate LPs, players can directly swap between resources without bothering about the process. For example, when trading between Grain and Wood, the system will do the trade from Grain to DEC to Wood in the background for a seamless in-game economy.

Participate In LPs

With the new Liquidity Pools, you can buy some grains or other resources at cheap price to participate in it. It is true that you don't have Land to produce these resources but you can buy at low price and let it sit there till it normalizes to a higher and stable price. Of course, this is not financial advice. Treat it more as a game advice. Participating in LPs will not only make you involved in the game economy but it will finance your collection in the long run.

Getting Closer To Items And Spells

Land completion will bring a new mechanic into the game in form of Items and Spells. This will be in the third phase of the Secret of Praetoria expansion. Land 1.75 will get us close to that update with the introduction of the new resources needed. As we are gearing towards the completion of the 2nd phase, there will be more updates to come for this to happen. But this sure is a reminder that all players can benefit from Land because of items and spells. Land owner or not.

Holding grains will be a good strategy. once more details are out and demand surges then surely grain will be worth more.
Cheers!

It is a good strategy indeed. A lot of land owners will be needing it now. Thanks for the comment!
