Custom Challenges Are Coming!
You heard it right! Custom Challenges are coming to Splinterlands. For the new people around there who don't know what Challenges are, you're in a right post. We will spend some time discussing this 'challenge' part of the game and appreciate how Custom Challenges make a world of difference in your battles and strategies.

What Are Challenges?
Challenges are ways for you to send a battle request to someone you want to challenge. You can set the League you want to battle in and the Cards Allowed for the battle. The Leagues can be set to Novice, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. The Cards Allowed can be set to All Cards, Gold Cards Only, Alpha Cards Only, Gladiator Cards, Modern, Ghost Cards and Ghost Modern. The settings All Cards, Gold Cards Only, Alpha Cards Only, Gladiator Cards and Modern allows you to use your own cards fitting the said categories. When it comes to Ghost Cards and Ghost Modern, you are allowed to use cards you didn't own. This is a good way to know the cards better and what strategies can be used for it.

When your opponent accepted the challenge, a typical battle will occur. Rulesets, Mana Cost, Splinter Available will be determined by the system and contenders will choose their summoners and monsters.

What About Custom Challenges?

For Custom Challenges, you can set the Mana Cap, Rulesets and Elements Allowed in a battle. We don't know yet what Rulesetts will be available or if there would be any restrictions on Ruleset associations. Nevertheless, this is an amazing tool for testing out rulesets, abilities and new cards. Custom Challenges can also be used for Custom Tournaments like Oceanic Tournament where only Water elements can be used. Sponsors can just set this a rule and contenders will challenge each other by sending a custom challenge. Winners will send a link of the battle and the sponsor (preferably a streamer) will show the battle.

As for the release of this awesome feature, we don't have date yet but it surely is a very exciting feature to have. A big shoutout to Mr. Antiosh for bringing this to the Tavern discord chat and @aftersound for putting out a video for this. Click here to see his Youtube Video.
