Another week for @splinterlands battle challenge, this is a good time to share your matches and get some awesome rewards and upvote from @steemmonsters.

This weeks' theme is:

- one of the new Chaos Legion common cards that have the Snipe ability at level 1 and here's my entry for this week's theme. I hope you learn something and enjoy it.

Lava Spider - Could potentially be a great card for silver league especially with Yodin Zaku, and played in maxed level it is a great way to deal huge damage against the backline and take out anyone through his poisonous attacks, though it is also helpful in a lower league in taking out the opposing teams healer or support if any. Right now I will show you one match using Lava Spider and explain my Thought process about the match and why I used the card.

My Lineup

• Summoner - Yodin Zaku
  • 
    He is one of the strongest summoners in the game right now, he is part of the Untamed Edition where a lot of cards really excelled and one of them is Yodin Zaku.
    This summoner gives +1 Range Attack, +1 health, and gives all the monster Blast ability. He is a legendary summoner that costs 7 mana, but that 7 mana is definitely worth it!
    If you are renting this summoner you can easily sweep through your opponents until silver.
    Would love to get this if it just doesn't cost a fortune, currently, it is sitting at $735/BCX.

• Tank - Antoid Platoon
  • 
    A card that has great stats and ability for a common card, it mostly excel in low mana battles, plus no magic rulesets. It can easily withstand a lot of attacks from the opponent, as long as they are melee or range. His Shield ability helps them a lot through their battles since it will reduce the damage they can take from melee and range. It is a 4 mana card, with 1 melee attack, 2 Speed, 2 Armor, and 4 health at level 3, and I think that is decent thinking that it is a low mana battle and it can easily withstand heavy blows from the opponent as long as it's not magic-heavy opponents. A regular foil of this card is so cheap and affordable sitting at ¢0.07 for a level three you will need 14BCX, which is only below $1.

• Second Position - Lava Spider
  • 
    Lava Spider is a deadly creature, he will get poisonous as he grows and its web will be strong enough to take down flying monsters and be its meal. At level 3, this deadly creature will get 3 Speed, 5 Health, and 1 Range, but with Yodin Zaku that can easily be changed, it can have 2 Range damage instead of 1.
    Plus the snipe ability of this card is so good paired with the blast ability from the summoner.
    It can easily take out the support backline of the enemy and hit the two adjacent monsters on its target. With only 3 mana? Of course, I will take it anytime in Yodin Zaku lineup.

• Third Position Scavo Firebolt
  • 
    Another low mana card you can definitely bring with your Yodin Zaku lineup, and I lie this guy at level 2 it has a massive 2 Range damage, plus 3 Speed, and 4 health. This can be improved by using Yodin Zaku as your summoner.
    Yodin Zaku will give this card 1 more range and 1 more health, and just make this card even better.
    As much as fire is stacked with good melee heroes, it has so much better inside its arsenal when we count Yodin Zaku of course. I can see fire dominate the modern format since Yodin Zaku still available. this card right now is worth ¢0.15, and you can get a level for only ¢0.75, not even a dollar and you now have a good card you can use in bronze.

• Last Position Spark Pixies
  • 
    Speak Pixies is one of the cards I love in Untamed Edition, it has high damage and high speed and can easily take some misses from your opponent who is running sneak lineup, with Yodin this card just get better by improving its health and its range damage. With only 4 mana this is also a great addition for your Yodin lineup in low mana matches.
    I love running it on the last position and possibly hope to get lots of misses from the opponents' backline attacks or sneak attacks.
    this card is currently sitting at $3.67/BCX but you can use it for free as a Ghost Card.

The Battle

22 Mana Battle, with Lost Legendaries ruleset.
Available splinters are:
Fire , Water , Death , and Dragon

Watching from his lineup seems like I am at a disadvantage, but not really because as you see, I put Lava Spider in the second position so he will be targeted by snipers first, and I surely believe he will survive because of his 5 health which is the most out of all the team. I put the Spark Pixies at the back to try and get a lot of miss in case he goes sneak, and turns out he has both Sneak and Snipe, which you can again say, seems bad for me, but really it is working in my favor on how my team is built since his attacks are diverse, it means it cannot focus fire on one of my splinters which means that the damage will be spread across all my monsters in the field which will definitely work best for me.

• Round 1

  • On the first round his sneak managed to kill my Spark Pixies, but I have managed to kill half of his team too, thanks to the blast ability from Yodin Zaku, and as you can see his snipe didn't do anything much against Lava Spider, which I purposely put there to be a snipe shield.
    

• Round 2: The END

  • It just amazing how the match has been so fast thanks to Yodin Zaku, to be honest without Yodin Zaku I am not sure I will be able to win the game. But this lineup was designed considering Yodin is the summoner if it is something else I would change the lineup accordingly.
    
    
    

Chaos Legion Thoughts

I really think some of the Chaos legion cards are powerful to get you to the rank you wanted like currently I only have level 2 summoners and some maxed out cards for Bronze League but I am competing in 2.2k to 2.3k Rating, well to be fair not a lot has been playing in silver lately and most are only bots, which I always encounter, but even then I think the new Chaos Legion Edition are strong and will be able to compete against old cards especially, maybe once we see the new legendary summoners!
