Through The Eagle Trial. Shadow of The Tomb Raider,
Hello Everyone.
In my previous posts, I shared how I reached a giant windmill thousands of years ago via a leopard-faced entrance after solving a lot of puzzles. The time I reached the windmill, I realised that it was going to be a tough mission and I stopped playing so that I could continue playing this part later with a cool mind.
This windmill is actually known as the Eagle Trial. This huge thing endured a lot of storms and climate changes for thousands and because of this, most of it was broken and not working for the time.
These round-shaped objects actually turn when the main windmill turns around with the wind. As you can see there are three of them and the top one is actually the only one turning and the rest of them are stuck because something is broken in each part and they are stuck.
When I went down to the main machinery part of the main wheel, I found out that I needed to spread the wings of it to make it work but I also found out that I was not strong enough to pull them.
Then I started to search for ways to activate it. It was quite hard work but I finally found a way from the outside. There was a small wind turbine and when I attached it with the main rotator with a rope, it was able to power up the main turbine to spread its wings.
The wheels were moving and now I needed to move up. To activate the middle wheel. I needed to jump and grab on those small stairs on every wing of the wheel as you can see in the image below.
I then had to jump and climb from one part to another and as all of them were moving constantly, it was really tough to do I even fell down a few times and got crushed by them too.
To get to the next level which was way higher than I expected, I needed to move through this small way to get past a small hole in the wall to get outside.
But the giant ladder was constantly moving through this path and I needed to be as quick as possible. But no matter how many times I tried, I was getting crushed under the ladder.

Luckily I was able to go pass that way in this new session and after a while, I found another windmill too. But there was a gate blocking my way to connect it to the main wheel and there was a wooden structure blocking the gate too. I then used the windmill's power to first break the wooden structure and then open the gate.
This is the switch that I needed to pull to open the gate and at first trial, I was able to open it too. But, the gate was not staying open and it was closing again after a while.
So, I decided to throw a rope arrow and open the gate again and then run back to that log far away before the gate closes and then connect them using another rope arrow so that it stays open.
My idea worked and the wheel was turning successfully too. But, it actually broke the main wheel attached to the wall. I was planning to use those wheels to climb up. But, since one of them broke down, I had to take the hard way to climb up using the machinery.
It was not easy at all but I was able to climb up eventually. But it took me a lot of time and I died a few times just to climb up the first part. Even the last time when I was able to climb up, one of the ladders broke my leg but gladly it did not kill me otherwise I'd have to restart again.
And after a lot more hassle, I was finally able to reach the gate I was looking for. Solving this one puzzle took me more time than a mission usually takes. I'm glad that I did not start to solve this puzzle that day. Hopefully, now I'll be able to reach the secret city sooner.
- The final and second part of this gameplay:
I actually had an emergency and had to stop playing while I was in the middle of playing this game and that is why there are two versions of the gameplay.
