Fierce Battle at Eden's Convent. First Time in-Game Fishing Experience . Far Cry 5.

Hello Everyone.

In my last post I shared my gameplay of liberating Drubman Marina. Man, that was one hell of a battle. After completing that last mission I was assigned a sub-mission by the resistance leader of that place to capture a fish and this is where my today's first mission and gameplay start.

Catching Albino Paddlefish

I needed to go to a nearby mini island-type place to catch it. So I first spawned the helicopter that I bought before and flew there. I destroyed some enemy boats on the lake with the built-in machine gun of my helicopter. It was quite amazing to kill all of them so easily. After I landed there, I found a fishing rod and some instructions too. These instructions were to help me catch a fish.

This fishing thing was a completely new experience for me. Till now I haven't had this type of experience in any game. And this fishing thing was kind of a tricky job too. You had to select the specific bait to catch that exact fish and just pulling the string wasn't enough too. I didn't know any of that and it was kind of exhausting too. I tried to catch it many times but every single time I was catching the same fish called Rock Bass. I tried changing the bait and I guess I even got one once. But, the rope just tore off.

I then saw a YouTube video where the player showed that players need to buy a separate pole from the shop and then use that to catch the fish. I flew with my helicopter to Drubman Marina cause there was a shop there. But, I didn't find anything there. I also saw someone fishing on the jetty and tried to talk to him too for some hints but I got nothing that could help me. Then I decided to go to the island again and try some new ideas.

But I was bored as hell and decided to kill some enemies on a nearby island. I killed many there, destroyed some boats, and also destroyed a few helicopters. And after I got to the island again, I even tried diving into the water to catch that fish or shooting at that exact spot. But, I didn't have any luck with any of those ideas.

Then I googled again for a solution and found out that I needed to use an exact bait for the fish and then you need to let the fish get tired so that you can pull it out of the water. When you try to pull the string and the fish also pulls it at the same time the string normally breaks. To avoid it you need to pull the fish and when the breaking point reaches almost its peak limit, loosen the string by stopping pulling and then pulling again. You'll notice the string turning red from green and this is how you know when to loosen the string. After a while, the fish will get tired and you can pull it out from the water. This may sound easy, but it really isn't.

This simple mission took me 50 minutes to complete just because I couldn't figure out the right way to do it. But, I'm glad I was able to complete it. Then I decided to go to the mountain peak I was unable to climb earlier because I didn't have the right equipment back then. I went there with my helicopter destroying a few more enemy choppers on my way. I planned to climb it like before but then decided to directly land the helicopter on top of it cause I already used a lot of time to complete the previous mission.

Raptor's Peak

The mountain was so tall that my helicopter even had an engine failure because of too much high pressure. But, the tough part was to land it accurately on the top of the mountain. There I had a small fight with the enemy. After liberating the place I also founded a stash and got my next mission too. I was to free a place called King's Hot Springs Hotel. It was quite far away and I should've taken the helicopter. But, I wanted to get the new adventure of flying using a wingsuit by jumping off a mountain cliff.

It was quite a risky jump but thanks to the realistic graphics of the game, I was able to feel the actual adventure of it. I'm not sure if it's possible but if I ever get a chance I'd love to try something amazing like that. I couldn't fly to the destination but I surely flew a lot covered up a large distance and landed close to another cult outpost.

Eden's Convent

This place is really huge with a lot of enemy soldiers. I even avoided this place before just because I didn't have enough firearms. I didn't want to take any risks this time. And decided to use my gun for hire to kill the enemies one by one in stealth mode. But, she was caught by the enemy and I had to engage one an all-out war with them.

Before I went in there, I made sure to decrease their number by killing some from the safe position I was in. I only entered because I needed to revive my partner. It was tough to kill all of them but I played a bit strategically this time and I was able to liberate the place.

Even though I liberated the place, it wasn't the end of it. This place was one of the major outposts of the cult and they attacked again with reinforcements to claim the place again. I was told to handle the machine gun to stop them. Just as soon as I got to my designated post, the enemy rushed in and they were crawling everywhere. But. it was only the first wave.

The second wave was a lot larger than this one. They all arrived before I was able to reach the machine gun. After killing some I did get the chance to get to the gun but just then my partner was knocked down and I had to revive her again. By then the enemy had called reinforcements and they brought freaking 3 helicopters. Damn, this was one hell of a battle for me.

King's Hot Spring Hotel

After all those hard battles, I was able to finally reach King's Hot Spring Hotel. But, I was really exhausted from playing for this long and I decided to avoid a frontline fight and used my helicopter this time. First of all, I used the rockets in my helicopter to bombard the place. Surely, many enemies were still alive and I took them out using the built-in machine gun. There was still one or two left and I dealt with them after landing.

And by completing this mission I end my today's gameplay. I'll be soon back with a lot more.

I really hope you liked my post and hope you will like the gameplay too. I've uploaded the video to my YouTube channel and sharing it below from there. Please watch it. There are a lot of small details and adventure parts I left for the viewers to experience in the video.

Far Cry is a very good saga, at least until Far Cry 3 was excellent. This installment looks very interesting, I liked the gameplay, thanks for sharing.

Yes, Far Cry 3 had the best storyline of the saga. But, I also like far cry 5 & 6 for their upgraded and realistic graphics and smooth gaming experience.
