Hello Everyone.

In my previous post, I shared how I reached the hidden city Patiti and met the rebel queen there. I also shared how I saved her son and made a deal with her to stop Trinity to save the world from them and how she decided to take me to the location where I believed the box was hidden.

So, I began my journey with them at a point in our path, we found a crowd waiting for someone. She told me they were members and supporters of the cult and were waiting for the arrival of the cult leader.

There, when the cult leader appeared, I recognised him. He was Doctor Dominguez, the leader of Trinity. I then learned that the cut was controlling the hidden city and he was the one against whom the queen was rebelling in secret. I realised how strongly Trinity had set their base in the hidden city, and I needed to stop them quickly.

One of the supporters of the queen could not hold his anger anymore and made an attempt to kill the cult leader. But, the queen had a sharp eye and barely stopped him from doing this foolish act and told him to keep his cool and be patient to wait for the right time before doing anything.

I did not want to waste my time listening to his fake speech so used the crowd to blend in to pass through the guards. The prince, Ezil guided me to the gate of the temple. He told me he would wait for me at the other side of the sacrificial pit and warned me to be careful about guards when I came out.

The road was not easy at all and was full of hard challenges and as it was a thousand-year-old temple, many paths were broken and I had to jump, climb down or climb high to move forward.

The paths were nothing less of a puzzle itself. In the beginning, I'd need to watch some gameplay to find out the path alone but luckily I learned a lot of tricks and my control is also better after playing it for this long.

The two pictures below will help you get an idea about even how complicated the normal paths were. I was just passing throw some narrow cave, no puzzle and no traps. Yet, I had to be very careful about how I moved. I was getting a strong smell while I was passing through the second cave and the whole place was filled with bones and skulls.

After passing through all those treacherous paths, I think I finally found a lead on the pit of death. The place from where no one has ever returned. And for that, I needed to use these cages and climb up that place.

The cages were way above themselves and for that, I needed to climb this rock cliff first and get to another level. It was not easy as the rocks were wet and I was slipping a lot.

What I found out after climbing up, even shocked me in real life. I certainly did not expect something like this. I actually climbed up on a rotten corpse while I was climbing the top of that cliff. And it was so rotten that, it kind of squished and got on me.

And what I found out when I got up from that corpse is still making me feel disgusted. I really did not expect something this disturbing. There were thousands of dead bodies. Some were fresh and some were rotten to bones.

I somehow crossed that place and jumped to reach out to the cages, only to find out that there were crops inside those cages too. Looked like they were trapped there as punishment till they died.

It was not easy to use the cages to reach the top place that I was looking for and I also died a few times. But, I was able to reach there finally. And now with the sunlight coming from Avobe, I can clearly see that the rocks and the walls were actually wet because of blood. Can you just imagine the scenery in real life?

I also saw one of the cult guards carry out a dead body and kick it down the pit. I now needed to see where he was coming from. The corpses I showed earlier were just the ones that fell into that part of the cliff, I have no idea how many are there in the pit below.

I used my rope to climb down to the place from where he dropped the body and jumped down. After entering through there, I found a closed gate and there was no way to open it or pass through.

But then, I found a narrow path leading up and it was full of rotten human body parts. But, I had no choice and thus I started to crawl through there.

After climbing up, I found someone way cutting the body parts after the sacrifice. I guess Trinity smuggled the organs of the sacrificed people and sold them on the black market. But, I needed to move past that person. So, I snuck up to him and killed him from behind.

See how they hung up the dead bodies and the full place was giving me a devilish aura.

I finally down the silver serpent marked map that I was looking for and had a picture of it which I found from the old things of my father.

I broke the false wall using my axe and started to follow the new path. And it was not easy too.

I reached a gate but it was blocked by a heavy wooden barrier. It took me a while to figure out the right way to burn it down but I'm sharing it with you in short. I found this ladder and when I fired an arrow to it to pull it down, a stream of fuel filled a small pool and then flowed towards the gate. It was not any ordinary fuel but it was some type of fuel made by blood.

Then I used this fire to put fire in the fuel and it burned the gate and opened it for me.

After crossing the gate, I had to use my rope and axe to climb down from a high place only to find another gate.

I thought, this was easy for me as I had done it already and followed the previous procedure. I pulled the switch, the blood-fuel filled the pool, flowed towards the gate and then I used the fire to ignite it.

But the fire could not reach the gate and stopped midway.

When I went down to investigate, I found out that there was a puzzle and I needed to solve that. The skull heads that you see in the puzzles, are the traps and lead the blood to fall below. But, I needed to avoid them and choose the right path so that the fuel could flow in the correct way.

I also needed to align the drains with the second puzzle and only then could it reach the gate. The handle on the second one 2as broken so I connected both of them using a rope and then used the first one to rotate the second one. It took me a lot of trials and a long time to solve. I'm just sharing the basics here with you.

This time the fire did burn the blockage on the gate and I was able to pass through.

Inside I saw a miniature of Patiti and the fire reached there too. the miniature was burning and to my surprise, just then, a silver serpent appeared from the fire.

"The Serpent With A Silver Eye", is the key I've looking for and by getting that, now I'm one step ahead of Trinity.

After collecting the serpent, I went to the back looking for an escape route and found a canal with a high current. I jumped into it and successfully arrived at the back of the temple where Etzil was waiting for me.

When Lara saw Etzil, she was about to call him but he signalled her to keep silence and pointed towards some enemy guards. Lara carefully peaks and sees that there's some guards coming their way and now they have now way but to hide and wait for them to leave.

But, one of the soldiers came from the back and caught Etzil and when Lara tried to save him, the other soldiers started to throw spears at her. She had no option but to leave Etzil at the hands of the enemies and flee from the place.

The problem was that I was running through a village full of cult supporters and cult soldiers. I was being chased by a lot of soldiers and added to that the cult supporter citizens were making the path harder for me too. And I was killed twice while escaping from those gaurds.

But, finally, I was able to escape from the guards. But for that I had to take a big jump and one of the guards caught me while I jumped. Luckily, he died on the fall, Lara was safe other than a little injury on her leg. Now, it was time to reach back to that palace and meet with Unratu and give her the bad news.

When I reached the queen, I learned that she already got the news of Etzil and we made a plan to save him and retrieve the box from Trinity. I also learned about the serpent being a key of the mountain temple, where the cult aka Trinity made their base camp. I was now sure that the box was there and that is why they chose that place for their camp. They just don't have this serpent key to unlock the box.
