HIVE TALKS: BEYOND BLOGGING
It's high time we share all the happenings from our recent Hive Webinar for our fellow Bisaya and Cebuano Hivers! As you all know, from @ybanezkim26's promotional teaser posted last week, our local group here organized a virtual webinar to talk about topics beyond blogging. Thus the title for the said event.
In all honesty, we never really planned for this to be a formal event. It's just that every time we organize such meet-ups, @glecerioberto and I execute our plans in full force. We also want to organize such events for our fellow Hivers where there is room for learning and development.
SO HOW DID IT GO?
We held the said webinar last October 28, 2021, and scheduled it at 7:30 pm. We had an initial test run for the technicalities before we officially opened our zoom for the rest of our guests. Then it was showtime!

Unfortunately, we were not able to anticipate the delay with starting the program properly since we were still waiting for the rest to show up. Nonetheless, we still had a blast once our game master @glecerioberto started the fun with our first-ever Virtual Game Night. Watch the video and you'll see what it all is. We also had prizes given to our lucky winners!
After our awesome game, we started with our first topic which was all about Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. And kudos to @glecerioberto and @thegaillery for giving a simple yet informative discussion about the subject matter. And from the feedback of our guests, they were able to understand well the dynamics of the subject.
The discussion of Crypto Trading was done by our very own crypto enthusiast @themanualbot. He shared the basics in navigating the Binance interface, explained well how to read the charts and what the numbers mean, and also shared a bit of tip and tricks when it comes to buying and selling crypto.
Then, @anneporter shared to us all her knowledge on what NFT is all about and how we could monetize on our artworks on any NFT marketplace but most especially in curate.style. Once again, we (including me) who used to be clueless about this subject matter, learned something new about this booming industry.
Lastly, we ended with a Q&A portion where @adamada and @ybanezkim26 shared their wisdom about Hive and a closing remark which I completely forgot but @ybanezkim26 manage to end our said event with a short motivational speech for the rest of our guests who stayed throughout the night.

That was absolutely a productive, educational, and fun Thursday night. Thank you to all of the organizers and speakers for creating this virtual meet-up and to everyone there who attended. I didn't expect the enthusiastic vibe to last throughout the evening, but it did. There was still a lot of energy towards the end of the meeting.
We were also not expecting for it to end that late and Anais staying up that late too. Thank you for joining as well! And looking to see your or perhaps Anais artworks soon in the NFT world. 😁
That's okay, we didn't really notice the time. She had fun too, she was fascinated to see everyone there. Haha, better start them young with Hive, crypto, and hopefully NFT lol

Hello @dora381! Thank you for your kind words! The game part is really a nice ice breaker. You should do one too during your event. Although I do not recommend making it that long (30 minutes) like ours, so perhaps 10 minutes should do unless your guests don't mind.

Too bad I had something else to attend to during this night but based on what my lovely kids from @thegoodbi mentioned, they definitely learned a lot from this event @indayclara! But the series of talks might be a bit too much in one sitting daw, especially for someone who doesn't have a background with blockchain and all the things that had been discussed. Maybe you can consider this in your next event (I'm sure they'll be more) to split the discussion points to optimize learning rather than maximizing it. I also mentioned this feedback to @glecerioberto. I'm sure you guys welcome feedback to improve the next events. Nonetheless, I was happy that my kids learned a lot ( based on what they've been sharing with me after the event). Great job you guys! Cheers to sharing knowledge!😁
Hello @patsitivity! Thank you for your honest feedback and we greatly appreciate it! For this kind of events, we definitely forgot to mention that it was not required for any of them to stay all throughout the event although we encouraged them to stay because its really hard to find time where most are available. Thus the reason why the program flow was shared beforehand so that they can choose to join on the topics they really wanted to learn about.
Nonetheless, we are honored that your kids joined and learned something from the said event. Although, if time was really not on their side or if things are way too much to understand, know that our virtual webinars are all recorded and they can resort to watching it on 3speak too. But yes, we shall keep it in mind to focus one thing at a time on our future events and you are right! There is more to come.

Very informative itong Hive Talks! I'm so glad I joined, most of my hanging questions were answered. Very lively pa, good job @indayclara! Iba ka talaga. Aside from learning more about crypto, I also learned na ang "mahitabo" means "mangyari". Haha. I also found out that I can have my daughter beside me during an online meeting and have her jot down notes! LOL!

Thank you hive veterans! It's a fun-filled and info overload webinar. I was a bit intimidated at first because I'm still a newbie, but after a few minutes, (hell yeah)! I got more comfortable (big thanks to the fun ice breaker that helped me to loosen up and to enjoy). The topics discussed gave me insights beyond blogging, esp about blockchain, crypto, and NFTs, though it was really new for me. I became more interested to explore more about it.
