Exercising My Privilege

Hola, everyone! And it's Friday for me, yay!

A day ago, the LF team introduced the xPolyCUB Governance and given us a glimpse of what else are coming ahead. This move is great and showed that they have been cooking something to surprise us yet again and this one is just among them. And what's better to make FIRST in the governance than the currently 'hot' in the seat, the rewards claim window! Hence, the "Proposal to Reduce the Locked Claim Window" is now up for voting.

Of course, I wouldn't miss that for the world! It's a privilege and so upon waking up this morning, I did my part. I could have done it yesterday but power was out all day and I was enjoying my off-screen time, hehe!

I went for the 30-day claim period because I feel 15 days is just too short, which means not many would be harvesting early and there would be lesser rewards to xPolyCUB stakers (or I could be wrong), but who knows if it's what the majority of the stakeholders would go for. Anyhow, at least I have voiced out my thoughts through my vote and it was pretty awesome to have done so.

And I invite you to cast yours too and have your say. The process is nothing complicated, go to the wallet that holds your xPolyCUB, make sure it is in the Polygon network and that you have MATIC in it. Send the amount corresponding to your intended vote:

- 0.0009 Matic (To keep the 90-day claim window)
- 0.0003 Matic (Reduce to 30-days)
- 0.00015 Matic (Reduce to 15 days)

And that's it, you're done! Voting ends on 25th April at Noon EST.

It would be exciting to see what the outcome would be but I believe that there will be more liquidity to come into the PolyCUB farms when the claim window gets shortened.

It is just amazing how fast the team works and make adjustments where they deem necessary. This act of the Leo Finance team is admirable and shows how apt they can come up with solutions to certain circumstances. And although the UI for the xPolyCUB governance is still in the finishing, they came up with the simplistic solution to give us the taste of what it's like to be amongst the 'governing body' of the xPolyCUB protocol.

And from these, we must be in the look out for more Proposals coming. Just imagine if some of our favorite Hive Engine tokens get proposed and then voted to be listed on PolyCUB. Wow! That would create exposure of the tokens not only amongst those of us in Hive, but out there for everyone else! Exciting times, yeah? Yap!

And speaking of developments, I wonder whether the LF dev team sleep at all, lol! Because everything is kinda coming up fast. But ain't that what we like? I've just read their weekly updates of how things are gearing up. Oh my, they are on fire! The pace at how things are coming along is really impressive. Now, the sign up option through Facebook is already available on Leo Finance Desktop. This may truly make it easier for new ones to come aboard. Although personally, I wouldn't use that option. Also, it's been long since I last used my FB account, or might I need to revive it for marketing and on-boarding purposes? Hmmm... let me think...

For now, I'm off to adding more PolyCUB in my purse! And I shall see you soon!
