The reference image was taken from Pinterest, representing this very popular Pokémon created by Japanese companies. I was inspired to design it in foam clay because I've seen many plush toys 🧸 in my country made with this very cute character. I know it's not much, but it's my way of expressing myself through art.

In the following I will show you step by step the realization of my work. To begin with, I will mention all the materials used:

    STEP/PASO 1

    In the initial phase, I start by taking a portion of yellow clay for the body of the character. Then, with my hands, I mold the clay into ball shapes, giving them a smooth and curious finish.

    STEP/PASO 2

    Next, I develop the moving parts of the Pokémon: its hands, feet, hat, ears, and lightning bolt-shaped tail ⚡️, always giving my best.
    Seguidamente, desarrollo las partes del movimiento en el Pokémon, sus manos, patas, gorra, orejas y cola en forma de rayo ⚡️, siempre dando lo mejor de mi.

    STEP/PASO 3

    And finally, we create the HIVE letters on the cap and add the final touches to its eyes and nose, using red, white, and black for the shine. This part is a bit more complex, as the parts to mold are much smaller.
    Ya por último, realizamos las letras de HIVE en la gorra y retoques finales en sus ojos y nariz, utilizando el color rojo, blanco y negro para el brillo. Este diseño es un poco más complejo, pues son más pequeñas las partes a la hora de moldear.

    Turning Pikachu into a Hive fan with that cap is such a clever idea. The tiny HIVE lettering and eye highlights show real patience, especially with foam clay that sometimes sticks to fingers more than itself. How long do you let the small pieces set before adding them, and do you seal the finished piece or keep it matte?

    "I do everything at the same time; as I'm making the parts, I'm gluing them. And regarding sealing the final piece, I sometimes do it but very little, with matte clay varnish.

    But mostly I leave them raw so they dry and become hard. It depends on some that I notice stay softer when I glue the parts; if not, I leave them with the simple material.

    Your explanation was clear, no worries about the translation. When you leave them raw, about how long until they’re safe to handle and how long until they’re fully cured? Also, what glue do you like while assembling as you sculpt, white PVA or a thin CA gel, and do you ever pin parts with wire for support? Have you noticed the matte varnish changing the yellow a bit, or does it stay the same?
