My Splinterlands Plan: From Glint Dreams to DEC Reality (Summoner Upgrade Needed!)

So, I'm back in Splinterlands and trying to figure out how to get stronger in Modern. My initial thought involved some clever Glint usage, but that idea kinda crashed when I remembered (or re-learned) that reward cards are soulbound – sellable, yes, but at a DEC cost that makes it almost pointless.

So, the focus has shifted. My biggest bottleneck right now is my summoners. Being stuck with level 1 starter summoners means all my monsters are capped at level 1 too. To really progress, I need to get my hands on some higher-level summoner cards. And that means I need DEC.

Glint will still be useful for getting more cards to play with, even if they can't be sold for a profit. But my main goal is now DEC acquisition to upgrade those crucial summoners.

I've been brainstorming ways to get more DEC, and one idea that popped into my head is what to do with the SPS I earn from battles and my (occasional and usually not-so-glorious) participation in Guild Brawls. Since the price of SPS fluctuates, I'm wondering if it might be a viable strategy to convert that SPS to DEC to fund my summoner purchases.

Has anyone else tried this? Does it make sense to trade SPS for DEC, or am I better off holding onto my SPS for potential future value or staking rewards? It feels like a potential way to bridge the gap and get the DEC I need to level up my summoners and finally unleash the full power of my monster cards in Modern.

So, the new mission is clear: maximize DEC income to buy better summoners. Glint will help with more playable cards, and maybe converting SPS could be the key to unlocking those higher summoner levels. What do you all think of this revised plan? Any advice on the best way to generate DEC as a returning player in Modern?
