They say that Hugo was born with a sword in one hand, which he guided through the birth canal with such innate precision that the first life he saved was his own mother's. Instead of crying as a newborn, the first sound he uttered was a mighty roar that made all monster flesh crawl for miles and miles around. The monsters knew that they wouldn't have long until the hero had grown large enough to guide them all to inescapable doom.

The tall tale of Hugo's birth could in fact be true, for he is a human born of a woman in Lyveria of the Earth element, even though he lives in Khymeria. He is one of the rare visitors who has migrated there and been accepted by the Order of the Silver Shield. At first when he inquired about knighthood, Strongsword was laughed at by the entire Cloudgard training yard. Within a few short minutes, once he had bested two dozen Knights in casual pugilistic combat, they stopped laughing. The sergeant on duty petitioned the Defender of Truth to grant Hugo Strongsword a special dispensation from the Khymian birth prerequisite, and before the sun had set that very day, Hugo was knighted into the ranks of the Order. Ever since, he has held an impeccable battle record and after only three years as a Knight, he was chosen to represent the Life element in Moxian Gladiator combat.

His sword is called Infinos. The stories say that it is the very same sword he carried as a baby, that it has always been inseparable from the hero, and that it has grown along with Hugo. Personal conquests and heroics of the Splinterlands were no longer enough to satisfy his great need for glory, so it was only natural for Hugo to join the tournaments as a Gladiator. He has even agreed to refrain from slaying monsters in or around the arena except when explicitly instructed to do so by his Khymian masters.

🎨THE ART PROCES AND THE MATERIALS USED 🎨

Art Process:

The first thing I do is conceptualize my art on how I want it to look as a finished drawing. I input as much details as i want to see in the final drawing in my line art. What I mean is that I inclund the details that I want in my line art even though ill be eresing it in the steps along the way to render the particular part. After finalizing the line art, I began to add the colors by layers. Next I start to render the shadows and highlight. And for the finaL touch of my drawing I add the background and foregrounds if I am adding any.

With that done my entry for week 339 in the splinterlands art contest is done. I hope that everyone liked my drawing and enjoyed reading through this blog.
