Splinterlands Art Contest Week 354!
Shock Trooper is the kind of soldier you don’t forget. Built like a wall, he’s not about speed but just raw power, and unstoppable strength.
There’s nothing so special or magical about the Shock Trooper. He doesn’t throw fireballs, he doesn’t fly, and he doesn’t need spells to make an impact. What he has is muscle, armor, bravery and that’s more than enough.
The Shock Trooper is the kind of fighter who doesn’t ask questions. You point him at the enemy, and he gets the job done. He was built for war broad shoulders, thick arms, and a stare that doesn’t flinch even when arrows fly past his head. He’s the guy standing tall when everyone else is . In battles, he doesn’t waste time. No tricks, no talking just action.
What makes him stand out is how simple but effective he is. While others rely on magic or speed, he charges forward and relies on his own power. When Shock Trooper hits, you feel it. Shields crack, swords fly, and sometimes the ground even trembles under his boots. He doesn't just fight he breaks through. That’s what he’s made for.
But there’s more to him than brute force. Underneath the armor, he’s someone who’s seen a lot. War has a way of hardening people, and Shock Trooper is no exception. He’s taken his share of hits both in body and spirit but he keeps moving forward. He’s not doing it for glory or praise. He fights because he knows how to survive, and because someone has to hold the line.
On the battlefield, he’s dependable. You can count on him to take the front lead, draw fire, and keep pushing when things get rough. He doesn’t panic. He doesn’t run. He fights through the pain and keeps his focus. That kind of toughness doesn’t come from training it comes from experience.
Other fighters look at him and think he’s just a beast. But his strength isn’t just in his arms it’s in his mindset. He doesn’t overthink things. He acts. And in the heat of a fight, that kind of clarity makes all the difference.
In Splinterlands, when you put Shock Trooper on the field, you’re making a statement. You’re saying, “I don’t need tricks. I’ve got force.” He’s the backbone of any heavy hitting team. Whether you’re trying to break through enemy lines or hold your ground, he’s the one you want leading the charge.
At the end of the day, Shock Trooper is a warrior plain and simple. No magic, no shortcuts. Just strength, sweat, and the will to fight. And sometimes, that’s all you need.
Drawing duration
Almost 2 hours of intense drawing ✍️
Medium:

size

Down below shows a drawing process of my work and also the reference image
progress shot
Below are my progress works from start to finish. This first stage I did a lot of underground work, by bringing out the details of my work, the charcoal and graphite pencil was what I used to achieve this stage. First I started off by making a faint outline of with my graphite pencil and then I did some tracing using my charcoal pencil
At this stage, I added my crayon to the work, I first started with the hair and the face, I couldn’t take much progress shots because I didn’t have much time. But the crayon was used as a layer to mask the shades of the charcoal and graphite pencil. The technique of shading I used for this work both hidden and underneath are hatching and blurring method, the hatching method involves the use of diagonal stroke lines while blurring involves blending your pencil or crayon strokes either by applying little pressure or using a blending stick to evenly distribute the shades
Final Drawing
Here is my final output which portrayed my hours of dedication of my craft. The final result made me proud of my self and I hope to come up with more drawings in the next contest.
