Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Get Your Hands on Yaba’s Pickle

Splinterlands continues to surprise is with new innovations. This time, Splinterlands has unleashed a new promo card, Yaba’s Pickle. This event offer players with multiple options to get their hands on this once in a lifetime card.

🥒 How to Obtain Yaba’s Pickle

Stake SPS to be Eligible: Players with staked SPS tokens will be eligible to buy Yaba’s Pickle cards for a low price of only 150 DEC per BCX. For every 1,000 SPS staked at the time snapshot, a player can buy one Regular Foil Yaba’s Pickle. The more SPS you have staked, the more cards you can buy. Remember that this option is exclusive only to SPS stakeholders so check your staked SPS now and add more if you want. There is no announcement yet for the snapshot date but it will be announced soon.

Gold Foil Arcane Raffle: A raffle will start seven days after the sale finishes. At stake are 50 Gold Foil Arcane versions of Yaba’s Pickle, to be raffled once daily. To be able to join in the raffle, players will have to craft raffle tickets using 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers, and 200 DEC. Each ticket guarantees a Regular Foil Yaba’s Pickle and a chance to win a Gold Foil Arcane version. Tickets are burned upon entry and can be traded on the non card market.

If you are not aware yet, Arcane versions are those with animations and not just "regular" Gold Foils. These versions cost so much more and so much rarer. There will only be 50 copies available so consider how many raffle tickets you want to craft.

Black Foil Arcane Auction: This option is for the big spenders or whales. Just right after raffle, an auction will begin for 20 super rare Black Foil Arcane Yaba’s Pickle cards, with one auction held daily over 20 days. To bid, players will need to craft Auction Points. Auction Points can be crafted using 1,000 Aura, 50 Vouchers, and 500 DEC. Auction Points are the exclusive currency for these auctions. Auction Points can also be traded on the non card market.

This is not just the hard to get Black Foil version. It's also the super rare Black Foil Arcane! This version will also feature some animations on the card and super hard to get. Black Foil Arcane versions cost a minimum of thousands of dollars on the market. That's how valuable these cards are and there will only be 20 copies available.

Among the three options, I think the Gold Foil Arcane version is the best deal if you are conscious about your budget. Not only will you get a regular foil version, you will also have a chance to win a Gold Foil Arcane version. Gold Foil Arcane versions sell for at least $150 minimum in the market. Yaba's Pickle GF Arcane version will cost so much more because of it's exclusivity and rarity.

🥒 Why You Would Want Yaba’s Pickle

Yaba's Pickle is a once in a life time promo card. It's very rare and will no longer be available once the promo period concludes. This makes the card a very good collectors item. Not only that, the card has utility as well. It has great stats and skills that can be great in battles. My only slight dislike about this card is it's limited to only one splinter, blue. It would be much more useful if this card was grey so that it can be useful for all splinters.

🥒 Where Can You Use Yaba's Pickle

Yaba's Pickle is a low mana card and can be used in almost every battle that includes the blue splinter. Yaba's Pickle can be placed in the first position to be a tank in certain battles. If you have a card with weapons training skill then Yaba's Pickle will have an attack.

🥒 A Lot Will Want to Get Their Hands on Yaba's Pickle

With that said, a lot will want to touch Yaba's Pickle. It's a pretty collectors item that's good to look at with the unique card design and animated features. It will also have great utility in your battles.

For Splinterlands, it will also be an added utility for SPS and DEC, both tokens already bouyed by the great success of Conclave Arcana sale. It's probably safe to say that Yaba's Pickle will have a great demand and will be another success in this new age and resurgence of Splinterlands.
