Después de un largo período de espera Smilegate y Amazon Studios han lanzado globalmente en el psado mes de febrero su esperado MMO que nos permitirá embarcarnos en una aventura llena de acción en el vasto mundo de Arkesia, donde conoceremos a muchos personajes y jugadores, viajaremos por interminables desiertos y bosques, atravesaremos regiones enteras o nos enfrentaremos a peligrosas mazmorras y enormes jefes y crearemos -en consecuencia, de esta manera- nuestro propio personaje entre una multitud de clases disponibles, hasta aquí nada nuevo ya que estas son las características de la mayor parte de los MMO que vemos en la actualidad, con muchas actividaes secundarias y temas para estudiar que sirven de incentivo a los que hacen sus primeras armas en el juego.

Sin embargo hay un aspecto en el cuál los desarrolladores han centrado su atención en Lost Ark: las Fortalezas. De ellas haré un breve resumen al final de este post pero antes les daré algunas indicaciones esenciales, primarias y básicas que un principiante en Lost Ark tiene que saber:

Personalizar la configuración de los controles del juego.

Esto puede sonar demasiado simple pero en Lost Ark adquiere especial relevancia para mejorar tu experiencia de juego y la jugabilidad en general, ya que si saltas el prólogo tutorial del inicio -una especie de guida paso a paso- el juego será configurado automáticamente por el mismo sistema en modo tal que, por ejemplo, ataques con el ratón izquierdo e interactúes con el derecho, y esa configuración, tal vez, y de acuerdo a tu estilo de juego te resulte incómoda. De cualquier manera siempre podrás hacer los ajustes en un segundo momento desde el panel de ajustes modificando las funciones en los muchos botones disponibles. Otro aspecto si se quiere trivial pero que hace perder mucho tiempo a los jugadores es el tamaño del cursor (conviene aumentarlo) ya que generalmente se pierde en medio de todas las animaciones de las habilidades presentes en el juego.

Las misiones de la historia.

El nivel máximo de cada personaje en Lost Ark -es bueno decirlo desde el inicio- es 50 y generalmente en todos los MMO el verdadero juego que te permitirá participar en Raids y otras acciones para ganar equipo comienza a partir de este nivel máximo.

Cómo alcanzar rápidamente este nivel? Haciendo atención en las misiones de la historia y concentrándonos en ellas podremos evitar las misiones secundarias que nos harán perder mucho tiempo y obtener pocos beneficios y de paso podremos ganar no solo experiencia sino también varios objetos útiles en el desarrollo posterior del juego.

Controla periódicamente tu equipo.

En el entusiasmo del juego muchas veces perdemos la noción del panorama de nuestro equipo y seguimos actuando con el mismo sin darnos cuenta que efectuar algunos cambios de mejor nivel puede mejorarlo mucho. Si abrimos la pantalla de cada personaje veremos un panorama donde nos una indicación general de tu poder.

Uno de los modos de mejorar el equipamiento es con los skins, una de las particularidades de este juego, ya que son muchos los que tiene. Tal vez no todos sean estéticamente de tu agrado, es obvio, pero los puedes cambiar u ocultar sin perder la bonificación obtenida. Mientras más tengas mejor es porque tienen una bonificación pasiva que se suma a tus armas y armaduras.

La fuerza de las estadísticas.

Otro aspecto que aumenta la potencia del personaje son las llamadas estadísticas que, en realidad, no son otra cosa que pociones especiales que maximizan la vitalidad, la fuerza o la destreza del personaje y que se encuentran dentro de las misiones que tienen una cadena como icono.

A su vez Lost Ark tiene una mecánica especial que permite que toda tu lista de personajes obtenga bonificaciones pasivas, lo cuúl se puede lograr a través de distintos medios como las misiones, las incursiones, recoger objetos o materiales, etc.

A medida que vayas avanzando en el juego estas bonificaciones irán cambiando y se irán actualizando, de manera que es extremadamente importante que controles con periodicidad el panel de tu lista para ver lo que puedes ganar con estas bonificaciones.

Combinar las habilidades para obtener el mayor beneficio.

Este es otro aspecto a tener en cuenta ya que si bien el juego ofrece una multitud de habilidades con diferentes efectos y bonificaciones solo podremos tener un número determinado de habilidades en la barra de acceso, por lo tanto deberemos buscar la mejor combinación posible para aprovechar al máximo su potencial.

Y ahora si, tal como prometido al inicio, pasamos a las Fortalezas, el punto fuerte de este juego.

¿Qué son las fortalezas (Stronghold) en Lost Ark y por qué tienen tanta importancia?

Partimos respondiendo la segunda pregunta: las Fortalezas en el Arca Perdida son una base de operaciones para los jugadores y ahí radica la importancia que tiene para los jugadores a la hora de progresar y fabricar objetos. Estos importantes edificios resultarán cruciales dentro del juego.

El desbloqueo de las mismas puede ser obtenido a partir del nivel 25 (luego de haber reconquistado el castillo de Luterra, podrás desbloquear la misión "Invitación del secretario Theo) y pueden ser utilizadas como hogar por tu personaje, pero también an la fase más avanzada del juego para crear algunos de los objetos con mayor poder, completar tareas de investigación, subir de nivel a tus personajes y mandarlos a cumplir misiones, entre otros. En realidad al inicio la fortaleza está bastante vacía y te llevará tiempo mejorarla para que sea más útil y funcional.

Una vez desbloqueada tendrás acceso a todas las instalaciones de la misma, como el Taller donde se crean todo tipo de objetos, especialmente consumibles y para usar en batalla; la Estación que se asimila a un puesto de comando militar desde donde se dan las órdenes a la tripulación para completar las tareas diarias (siempre que tengas al menos un barco); el Campo de Entrenamiento que te servirá para subir el nivel de tus personajes hasta dos niveles por debajo de tu nivel más alto (sólo tendrás acceso al mismo cuando hayas alcanzado el nivel 52) y otros más.

However, there is one aspect on which the developers have focused their attention in Lost Ark: the Strongholds. I'll give a brief summary of these at the end of this post, but first I'll give you some essential, primary and basic pointers that a newcomer to Lost Ark needs to know:

The more you have the better because they have a passive bonus that adds to your weapons and armour.

Strength of stats.

Another aspect that increases the character's power are the so-called stats, which are actually nothing more than special potions that maximise the character's vitality, strength or dexterity and can be found within the quests that have a chain as an icon.

Lost Ark also has a special mechanic that allows your entire roster of characters to gain passive bonuses, which can be achieved through various means such as quests, raids, collecting items or materials, etc.

As you progress through the game these bonuses will change and update, so it is extremely important that you regularly check your roster panel to see what you can gain from these bonuses.

Combine skills to get the most benefit.

This is another aspect to take into account because although the game offers a multitude of skills with different effects and bonuses, we can only have a certain number of skills in the access bar, so we must look for the best possible combination to make the most of their potential.

And now, as promised at the beginning, let's move on to the Strongholds, the strong point of this game.

What are fortresses (Stronghold) in Lost Ark and why are they so important?

Let's start by answering the second question: the Fortresses in Lost Ark are a base of operations for players and that is why they are so important for players to progress and craft items. These important buildings will be crucial in the game.

They can be unlocked from level 25 onwards (after you have recaptured Luterra Castle, you can unlock the mission "Invitation from Secretary Theo") and can be used as a home for your character, but also later in the game to craft some of the more powerful items, complete research tasks, level up your characters and send them on quests, and so on. The fortress is actually quite empty to begin with and it will take time to upgrade it to make it more useful and functional.

Once unlocked you will have access to all the facilities in the fortress, such as the Workshop where all kinds of items are created, especially consumables and items for use in battle; the Station which resembles a military command post from where orders are given to the crew to complete daily tasks (provided you have at least one ship); the Training Ground which will serve to level up your characters to two levels below your highest level (you will only have access to it when you have reached level 52) and more.
