On the other hand, Blockchain technology has an answer to these issues. With combining decentralization, privacy, safety of data etc it is possible.

Not only that, but broadly, they can also help in transparent payments being integrated in the new age messaging apps with seamless and secure in-chat payments.

The Future of Social Media

Well, these legacy social messaging applications have caused enough harm to its users. And this is reason that people are now aware of this exploitation thus looking for alternatives.

This is where the importance of decentralized messaging apps arises.

With the introduction of Web3 which is an idea that hosts decentralized apps that run on blockchain technology, we may have a solution to users problems, specially about their privacy and data ownership but it would require a lot of work to go mainstream.

Web3 do need mass adoption but one of the problem could be with is that firstly there still need a lot of work to be done in the field plus more and more users should be educated about how to keep their privacy and data secure. And what things need to be done in this respect.

Good to see Hive been built on Web3 technology but I believe it still is underestimated and also lacks good marketing efforts to let more people know about it.
