Since the release of the new Survival Mode, everyone has been earning a significant amount of SPS per win, making it the most popular mode in Splinterlands at this moment. You could say it has created the biggest hype in the community, and we can clearly see its impact on the card marketplace.

I have gained over $3K in my card collection in just a few days since Survival Mode was released. Check the screenshot below—before the update, my total card value was sitting at $19K+, but after the new mode launched, it went up to $23,049.

This just shows how much impact Survival Mode has on the Splinterlands economy. Some cards are pumping in price, and if you want to survive in this mode, you need to have the right ones in your collection. So today, I’m going to talk about which cards are going up and which ones you actually need to stay in the fight.

These are the key cards from the Chaos Legion set! If you're looking for affordable options to compete in Survival Mode, these are your best bet! They're among the cheapest on the market. Of course, there are other cards you'll need if you want to dominate, but these are the must-haves to show your strategy on the battlefield.

Card Price change

These are the Untamed Legendary cards that have pumped by almost 100% since the release of survival mode. I don’t have many summoners, but for those with a large collection, their value has huge pumped, although not everything will make it, but when a few cards go up, the rest tend to follow the trend as well. Look at that Scal Doctor; it was nearly at the bottom of the market, but now it has seen a huge price increase. That's the power of utility! People recognize the opportunity and jump on it! although I bought 2 maxed copies of Camila Sungazer for $74.6 because I was also hyped!

The Change in DEC price

With Land 1.75 released, DEC is getting eaten up fast, and everyone’s trying to stack up as much as they can. You can see in the graphs below how the price has pumped over the last few weeks. Right now, the company has only 63M DEC left while I’m writing this, which shows how high the demand is. I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes up even more soon!

The way things are going in the community, it looks like DEC might reach its peg in just a couple of weeks. If that happens, we could see the real flywheel effect kick in for SPS. With the increased SPS inflation from Survival Mode, players are earning more SPS than ever. If the DEC touches over $1 per 1k then the flywheel will start; it would allow everyone to burn SPS for DEC, driving more utility and value into our governance token, SPS. This could be a game-changer for the entire economy!

My SPS earning update

Althoug, I am not an active player in tournaments, but I have managed to play The Glorldax Wild Diamond tournament last week. The reason I only chose to play wild tournaments is because I don't have the latest cards from the most recent sets and promos, so I only focus on older sets and cards. Luckily, I managed to secure 4th place in that tournament and got 1789 SPS!

This is just one day's reward from playing Survival Mode! Yesterday, I earned 1,738 SPS but ended up with over 100 cards on cooldown. Today, my lineup was a bit weaker since I lost some key cards last night, but I still managed to earn 1,591 SPS after losing 319 cards. Isn't it pretty? Imagine SPS at $1 that's f**king thousand dollars

That's the list of total depleted cards; there are still 10 days left in this season, and depleted cards are coming back from cooldown each hour. I believe the SPS earning will increase a bit in the coming days since each day I’m learning new strategies in Survival Mode every day!

But most of the time I lost to new legendary summoners such as Eternal Tofu and others double-element summoners. Also, there are some key cards that I need to have in my collection in order to increase the win rate. I was planning to rent the Venka though, but the price of the Venka is $0.17 per day, and it will cost me $1.7 to finish this season. And for Eternal Tofu it will cost me $0.464 per day, that's a bit high, but it worth the money!
