Itsy Bitsy Spider
This week is all about Lava Spider.
Lava Spider is a Chaos Legion common card with the 'Snipe' ability. Again it's not a card I use a lot, so it's been fun to try it out for this challenge. The Lava Spider has 2 range attack, 3 mana and 4 life as a level 1 card. At level 6 which you can play in Gold it gets 'Snare' and at the max level it gets poison. I am sure on the top level it's a pretty strong card but for me on level 1 I am struggling to find a place for it.
The battle blow has two rule sets:
To sum it up: no heal abilities
All monsters can 'Blast away'
My Line up:
As you can see all my fire cards in this battle is level 1.
Summoner:
Tarsa is a summoner from the Chaos Legion set and is just fantastic because of its +buffs, which gives all your cards +1 melee and +1 life.
Living Lava in the first position. He is just a great tank with shield at level 1 and used in a large % of the battles in bronze and silver league.
In second position, Djinn Apprentice. This was a mistake because i totally forgot about the 'Blast' hitting him after the opponent hits Living Lava, with only 4 life he doesn't take much blast damage. This is so important to keep in mind and I recommend a card with void, shield, magic reflect, return fire or possibly the best, a card with scavenger.
Third position, TenyII Striker. This is such as powerful card, with 2 attack, 2 mana, and 6 life. Then add the 'Sneak' ability at level 1, it's a card that needs to be in every fire deck.
Fourth position, Serpentine Spy. I love and hate this card. It's such a good card for it's 2 melee attack and opportunity but but but its only got 1 life. The problem is Serpentine Spy can be gone before you even get to use it.
Fifth position, Lava Spider. I Wasn't really sure how to place this card but since its a range attack which can not attack in the first position it needs to go as fare back as possible.
Last position, Flamesmith. I like this card for the 'Shatter' ability. This ability removes the opponents armour. In this battle I was hoping the opponent had a lot of armour.
Battle conclusion
I have to admit this was a lucky win and it was won because of the blast damage. If i had this battle again I would take out Djinn and replace him with a card that fits better with blast damage using void etc as mentioned above. I would also take out the Flamesmith since my opponent didn't use much armour and his abililty then renders useless.
