Explosive Weaponry - Reflect them !

Hi all Splinterlands heads

I came across this setup while watching Luke Learns To Play on Youtube together with @luke_p2e, @gameboy_ali and @infidel1258. So just to emphasise, I didn’t come up with this setup myself but though it was such a great/clever play and honestly something I had never thought of.

On a side note if you want to learn more about Splinterlands I really recommend watching the guys above. They are all incredibly knowledgeable.

First let’s have a look at the explosive weaponry rule set. I always remember it as the Blast Rule because simply put that’s what all the monsters are getting.

The important part of this rule set is the additional damage to the monsters adjacent. For example: your first tank monster gets hit, the blast will be sent to your second card in the line up. If you use a Taunt ability card the blast will be sent to card next it, and this is where it gets interesting. This is why it’s so important not to play a Taunt ability card in the middle of the line up as the blast will hit both cards next to it. Taunt should only be played in the front or all what way in the back. The back is strongly recommended as it takes the pressure off the first cards for awhile.

In the battle below the rule set is Explosive Weaponry and Poison (Ignore the poison rule set for this write up). We can see the top player is using Wave Brood water card with Taunt, so all monsters on the opposite team has to hit this card first.

Then what happens is the blast damage will be sent directly to Prismatic Energy. Prismatic Energy has magic reflect so the blast will be sent right back to the opponent. Boom !

In battle below it only works with Magic but you can also use other reflects for differet battles.
