Being Welcomed Into a Community!

I have been around for a short time, but I already feel like the Leofinance, POB, and gaming communities have accepted me. First I wanted to say thank you! Second, I wanted to tell you how you can quickly be accepted into a community like these, three.

Jumping into a community and saying, "I'm here!" is not enough. I have found that everyone in all 3 of the communities I've been in...and maybe it's just a Hive thing...are excited to share their knowledge of investing, crypto, gaming, and knowledge in general! I have seen votes come in and comments on a few of my posts...but most importantly, people are ACTUALLY commenting on my comments on their posts! That's the key, in my opinion...granted, I'm still a minnow...

If you're reading this and you've been in these communities for a while, let me just say, thank you for making it easy to come in. Secondly, keep educating us young'uns. I have read posts from all over the world in different languages, even! It is so welcoming to have a place where people can say what they want and have their voices heard. Now...I have had to promote my posts to get attention...but I'm new. So I get it! This is like no other 'blogosphere' I've ever been a part of. Thank you!

Now for some knowledge to be lain down, instead of just a "Thank you" post...

One of the things I remember from my grandfather was, "Always pick up your feet." I was scraping my feet as I would slide along the floor...gliding across his floor. When you are moving...really moving, you need to pick up your feet. Stay too close to the ground, and you'll get tripped by the friction of your own shoes...or you'll wear out your shoes too quickly. Here on Hive, you can't just glide along. Once you have your shoes on, you have to pick those suckers up and pick up speed. My grandpa was just telling me to not wear down my shoes, but why not make a life lesson out of it? Pick 'em up, Hive! Let's hit this new year with vigor!

Don't forget to check out my other posts and leave me a nugget of wisdom in the comments below or write a post where you call me out so I can come read it! 😉
