Splinterlands: My First Frontier Ranked Victory

Hello Splinterlands Community It has been a long while since I have played the game and touched my game collections and there was a lot of changes and updates that was implemented in the game one of those is the user interface of the game which is much better and modern to me as well as the couple of game modes that was introduced in the game which one of those game modes is the Frontier Ranked Battles. It was the first time I heard about this type of Ranked game mode and I also found out that only Foundation Cards are allowed to be used in this type of ranked battle. I have done some research about it and I found out that these Foundation Cards in the game are obtainable by accomplishing and completing the chapters in the Campaign mode which is one of the new features in the game recently. I will continue to talk about these new features in the game and these updates and changes that was put in the game makes it more exciting to do some ranked battles again and earn some rewards as well as expanding the card collections in the game with the release of the new sets of cards that was introduced with these new features.
Campaign
The Campaign is one of the latest additions in the game where in the players will be able to learn the basics of the game from scratch and as the campaign progresses you will be able to gain some rewards including Foundation cards that can be used in Frontier Ranked Battles. It also has a good storyline about the game where the player will discover new characters in the game and each of those characters plays a role during the Campaign adventure. This feature is very helpful especially to the new players in the game as it serves as the training ground for them to know and absorb the necessary knowledge in the game such as mana pool, abilities, rulesets and character elements and rarity. It is also very rewarding as every step in the campaign provides rewards for each completion and as these players learns new things about the game they are also starting to grow their game collection. Currently only Book 1 is available in the campaign which is the Waur Medge Academy and the Book 2 should come very soon in the game.
BOOK 1
As mentioned above the Campaign game mode currently has the Book 1 which is the Waur Medge Academy. This book contains 17 chapters including the two prologues and each chapter not only tells a story but also introduces a new knowledge regarding the game and at the same time there is a rewards waiting for each chapter after it has been completed for the first time. I also like the interaction for each chapter as the lessons in these chapters are delivered carefully and it is tailored for the beginners in the game. It is also a good refresher for the long time veterans in the game as there might be some new mechanics in the game that might have been introduced recently. The rewards that can be earned throughout the game are the Foundation Cards and those rewards ranges from common to legendary Frontier cards which makes the Campaign mode very appealing to the players and it is the first step to build the collection in the game as well as to be able to play the Frontier Ranked Mode that provides daily rewards when winning certain amount of ranked battles.
My Battle
This is the first Frontier ranked battle that I want to share in this post where I was able to try out the new set of cards from the Foundations Set which is the latest sets in the game that I have not played yet until this moment. The Foundation Cards are a mix of offensive, frontline and utility cards in the game which makes this set beginner friendly and gives an overall feeling about the game. In this particular Frontier Ranked Battle I was able to used the Fire element Foundations Cards that I have earned through out the Campaign and these cards that I have gain from the campaign are quite powerful but the most important attribute I noticed for this cards is that they are mostly have high mana cost which makes the team composition very crucial in each Frontier Ranked Battles. For this match I was able to earn the victory thanks to my Sturdy Axe Warden and Ash Archer which deals a good amount of ranged damage to the enemy team. I also have a good frontline card for this match which is the Frankarsgard which has a great amount of health and has a shield. The ruleset in this Frontier Ranked battle is also favorable to my team as I have more melee damage monsters on my team and if you are interested to see all of the action happened in this Frontier Ranked match and on how I was able to secure my first ever Frontier Ranked Battle victory, you can all witness it by clicking the battle link below.
