365 Day Savings Challenge Week #28
Hatdogsensei's 365 Day Savings Challenge Weekly Report

This year I decided to participate in a 365 days savings challenge and as I am going through the savings challenge I have thought on creating my personal weekly update regarding my saving progress towards this year 2025 and in order to have a good documentation on my weekly progress while doing this challenge. This also helps me to stay on track and continues monitoring my saving progress to see if I am still on track on my saving goals that I have set for this year and also to get some advice and ideas from other savers here on Hive community. This would be the 28th week for the savings challenge for this year and I will continue to talk more about the progress of my 365 day savings challenge here on Hive and I hope that it would inspire others in the Hive community to start also their savings journey here on Hive.
Primary Goal
HBD
I decided to save and store a good amount of HBD for this year. I saw that a lot of people are saving a huge amount of HBD last year and that gives me the inspiration and idea to start saving some HBD for myself and that is the reason that I have planned to save HBD as my Primary Goal for this year and also to take part on the 365 Day Savings Challenge for the year 2025 in order to track my progress.
HBD Initial Amount | Earned HBD | HBD Current Amount | HBD Goal | Progress Percentage |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 1.067 | 32.156 | 52 | 61.83% |
The main savings goal that I have planned for this year is to save at least 1 HBD every week for this year and by computing the weeks that a single year had, I should be able to come up with at least 52 HBD at the end of the year. This would be very possible if I were able to save a HBD every single week and this is a good start for me to have more saving goals in the next years and this would be just a start for me.
For this week I was able to achieve my weekly HBD saving target as I was able to earn a great HBD amount of 1.067 and this earning comes from engaging in the community and also by consistently joining different giveaways and challenges that were hosted in the Hive community. The rewards that I got from these engagement and blog writing allows me to save some HBD and I can say that I am in a good pace since it is week number 28 for the year 2025, I should have at least 28 HBD stored on my wallet and I have managed to overcome this initial expectations that I have set since I now have 32.156 HBD stored on my wallet as of this writing. This now puts me on a nice track as I am now currently at 61.83% of my 52 HBD goal at the end of this year that I have set and based on the trajectory and current progress that I have, I think I can achieve this goal at just the right amount of time and perhaps overcome the initial HBD goal that I have set.
Secondary Goal
BBH
I decided also to save and store a great amount of BBH also for this year. It is just few weeks ago that I have find out that just by owning a good amount of BBH on your wallet, you will become eligible to receive some tokens that is being airdrop on your Hive wallet every week. This gives me a good motivation to also save and store some amount of BBH on my wallet so I can also become part of the token airdrops that happens every week for all the eligible BBH holders. This also the reason why I am putting BBH as my Secondary Goal for the 365 Day Savings Challenge this year 2025.
BBH Initial Amount | Earned BBH | BBH Current Amount | BBH Goal | Progress Percentage |
---|---|---|---|---|
0 | 30 | 1576 | 1500 | 100% |
This year I have also set a secondary savings goal alongside the HBD savings goal as part of my 365 day savings challenge this year and that is to save at least 1000 BBH by the end of the year 2025. I have done some calculations to break this goal down into smaller achievable steps and based on my computations I need to save at least 19.23 BBH every single week throughout the year in order to successfully reach my target by the end of 2025. I arrived at this number by considering the total weeks in a year which is 52 and dividing my overall goal of 1000 BBH by that number which gave me the weekly savings amount that I need to maintain in order to make this goal possible. I have planned on both of my goals to save at least a particularly amount each week so that I can track my progress more efficiently and it helps me to identify if I was able to achieve the amount I need to save for the particular week. Since I already achieved my initial goal of 1000 BBH for this year, I decided to increase it to 1500 BBH and this goal has also been accomplished and I will continue to save BBH moving forward.
For this week I was able to continue saving BBH into my wallet and I manage to earn a good amount of 30 BBH and it has been possible by doing active engagements in the Hive community. I think this is a great achievement as I was able to surpass my weekly goal of 19.23 BBH which is the amount that needs to be saved every week in order to achieve my initial secondary goal of 1000 BBH at the end of this year. Since I have already achieved the 1000 BBH goal, I have increased the secondary goal to 1500 BBH and I will still set my weekly goal to 19.23 BBH. I was able to earn some BBH as well from creating blogs on the platform and participating in the giveaways and contests from the Hive community. This now puts me at 100% to my 1500 BBH Goal for this year which means that I have surpassed my 1500 BBH goal and I will continue to focus on saving BBH and hopefully I can reach another thousand of BBH by the end of the year.
