My content today will be mainly focused on the next generation wallet built on the Terra(Luna) blockchain which helps to bring dApp access, staking, DeFi, NFTs, identity, social, web3 and web2 app interactions into one platform known as Leap Wallet. I really found this project worth reviewing due to the fact that the project received grant from Terraform Labs (TFL) to kickstart the project development effort and I definitely hope you are really going to find this content informative and educative.

What is Leap Wallet all About ?

There are many incredible features about Leap Wallet and this is really why you can't give this great project a simple and single definition. In this context I will try as much as possible to give a proper explanation of what Leap Wallet is all about.

According to the official website of the platform, Leap Wallet is stated to be the simplest & safest way to store, send, swap and stake tokens on the Terra blockchain and this is why it is sometimes called "Your gateway to Terra" because of the amazing features included on the wallet.

Leap Wallet is a next generation non custodian wallet for Terra which helps to brings decentralized Application access, staking and farming operation, DeFi, NFTs, identity, social, web3 and web2 application interactions into one platform. This implies that users are able to stake their tokens and experience more about Defi and NFTs system on Terra blockchain using Leap wallet.

One of the project aim is to become the most user friendly crypto wallet for Terra and user gateway to every exciting aspect of the Terraverse ecosystem and this makes Leap Wallet quite an interesting project to watch out for.

#1 STRONG SECURITY AND USER PRIVACY

One of the important and major factor to consider before making use of any wallet is to ensure that the wallet is well secured for users to store their tokens or assets. I love the fact that Leap wallet is a non custodian wallet which implies that Leap wallet doesn't store user private keys and can never access user funds. Keeping that level of user privacy and high level of security is one of the great features i love about Leap Wallet.

#2 DEFI AND NFTs

There's really no doubt that Decentralized Finance (Defi) and Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are the most trending conversation in the crypto space today. It's really great to know that users will be able to buy and sell their NFTs using Leap wallet.

The good news is that Leap Wallet will build dashboards that allow users to easily track, convert and spend their earnings for users like me who are so obsessed with play-to-earn games.

#4 STAKING AND SWAPPING

The last but not the least feature i love about Leap wallet is that users will be able to engage in staking, farming, adding liquidity to pools, creating liquidity pools etc. This will also help to generate more income for users who may also intend to stake their tokens or coins for long term gains using Leap wallet.

Also, the instant swapping feature is a great turn on for me because users will be able to swap different coins built on the Terra blockchain system very easily and conveniently without any stress.

Leap Wallet Road Map

As you can observe from the above image that the project road map will be bifurcated into different phases.

Phase 0 (MVP)

• Users will be able to import/create their Leap wallet

• Users will be able to transfer their coins from Leap wallet and receive coins into their Leap wallet.

• There will be a portfolio viewer showing the total amount and worth or value of coins or tokens held by users in their Leap Wallet

• A chromium browser extension will also be created for users to access their Leap wallet.

• An auto lock feature will also be included which causes wallet to locks after 15 minutes of non-activity as an additional security measure

Phase 1 (Wallet Basics)

• The devs will include address book on Leap wallet.

• Users will be also be able to engage in staking activities to earn more staking rewards using their Leap wallet

• Users will be able to engage in instant swap of tokens very easily and fast.

• Users will also have access to NFTs space where they can purchase and sell their NFTs.

Phase 2 (Terraverse)

• Devs will work on developing or building Leap wallet mobile application for both android users and iPhone users.

• Dex aggregation will be implemented on leap wallet to enable users have access to Dex services.

• Users will be able to experience an easy on-ramp from fiat to UST through an integration with Transak

• Users will be able to connect Leap on all important Terra protocol webapps. Access the most relevant protocols directly inside the wallet — Anchor, Apollo, Nexus, etc.

Phase 3 (Going beyond Terraverse)

• Developers will be able to integrate their existing dApps or build new dApps that can be directly accessed within the wallet. Included here would be web2 apps that allow you to interface with the non-crypto world (shop for products, pay bills, etc. inside Leap).

• Cross chain transfer will be integrated into the platform to enable users transfer Terra-native assets to other chains from within the wallet.

• Users will also be able to invest in exciting new Terra projects from within Leap wallet using Leap launchpad system.

Can we have Leap Wallet Partnering with Loop Finance to enable users have more seamless experience in Terraverse ?

If there should be any future development to suggest for the team, I would love to suggest that there should be strong collaboration or partnership between Leap Wallet and Loop Finance. It will be a great advantage for the Terra community if LOOP and LOOPR tokens can also be adopted as means of staking, swapping, farming and creating pools on Leap Wallet.
