Only a few hours left for 2021 to end, some say it has not been the best year and for others it has been amazing because hey! Spider-verse confirmed!!!

For me it has been an adventure and has kept its balance, on one hand my art has grown a lot and has had a lot of support and for that I thank you✨, and on the other hand I literally broke my hand in a car accident in mid April, 15 days in the hospital and several months of recovery, but here I am, healthy, and using both hands to write this and wish you the best of luck and prosperity in the next 365 days, take care and do what makes you happy. 🙌

All my life I have had people around me who criticize me for who I am. My appearance is different from the appearance of others, and that has affected my relationships.

No one has ever known who I really am, they do not know that I want to give no matter what I will receive in return; the attitudes of others have forced me to keep quiet and hide my way of being and thinking, but today I am determined to change that part of me, to give importance to me first.

Today I am determined not to care what others think, what they speak in whispers, what they do to harm me. Today I am determined to reveal myself to society; I feel an immense spring coming out of me, pure water, water of different colors that reflect every part of who I am and what I want to give.

Today I plan to fill with my essence all those people who made me suffer. Today shyness dies, shame dies, that person who was trampled dies; and that person who doesn't control the ocean that flows from within is born.

Today I am determined to damage the system.

-Step 1:

Since the character would have very defined shadows, I first denoted them in the sketch, I wanted to show it to you so you would have a clear idea when it comes to see the construction of the body.

-Step 2:

When I want to pay special attention to the volumes, I resort to grays, this allows me to clearly establish the lights and shadows that will make the character stand out from the beginning.

-Step 3:

The character and the background are in separate layers, so I can use clipping masks without problems in the "color" merge mode which is the way to add new tones to the grays without altering what was previously worked, also I advise to use the airbrush with low flow so that the new color picks are easily blended.

-Step 4:

In my mind the water must have been composed of chemicals, just like when gasoline falls into water. So I added more bold colors to the water and then a texture on top of them. The texture is not that hard to do, you just add a few brush strokes of the colors you like and go to liquify and let the texture come out.

And if you wonder what the pink box is for, it is to have a reference of the maximum saturation that should not be reached because it would clash with the dark skin of the character.

-Step 5:

I wanted to give more contrast to the texture, and it took me literally 2 seconds, I put the layer in overlay and that was it. Now the boy's look is very determined, but his arms didn't say anything, so I tried to show the flame inside him by adding smoke around him and a band-aid on his nose, life hasn't been easy.
