Learning About MoonKarts' Card Rarities & Merging - Let's Get to Know!
A new season starts, a new journey begins. MoonKarts is having its best life with a new season and a new batch of rewards are coming to users. MoonKarts, the fast‑paced play‑to‑earn kart‑racing game built on Hive, uses collectible cards as the core of its progression—and understanding card rarities and the merging system is key to success on the track.

Cards are very much essential for a user's journey. Everything mostly relies here as you need fuels and a good kart setup to start earning competitively. All MoonKarts cards, whether they’re driver, kart, tech upgrade, accessories, or power‑ups, come in four rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Commons are easy to come by—good for starting out but modest in impact. Rare cards step things up with stronger stats or abilities. Epic cards offer high performance and game‑changing perks. Legendary cards are the crown jewels: hardest to obtain and most powerful, often only available through major competition achievements or special events.
Like what I've said, it's not just about the cards and rarities. Rarity alone isn’t everything. Every card, regardless of tier, can be leveled up through the card‑merging system. By combining multiple identical copies—often referred to as BCX—you increase the card’s level, boosting its stats and sometimes unlocking extra abilities. Gold foil versions of cards are especially valuable: rare cosmetic variants that require fewer copies to merge and offer bonus rewards when staked

Why is this important? Because well‑leveled epics or legendary cards outperform low‑level cards of any rarity in races, and give you better fuel generation and Colony token earnings. Staking leveled (especially gold foil) cards in the Auto Vault or Academy system can yield more Fuel, while racing with upgraded cards improves your competitiveness and rewards.
