The latest iteration of DC Comics Joker was released in 2019 featuring Joaquin Phoenix as the title character: JOKER. This JOKER is undoubtedly the darkest representation of JOKER ever recorded to film for a movie.

JOKER: DC Comics and Movies

In most other DC Comics and movies, Joker has green hair and a red smile. Joker's eyes are often dark or black with green eyebrows or a green outline around the eyes.

• The Joker by Cesar Romero in the Batman and Robin (1960s) television series was a true Joker. He was humorous, amusing and entertaining. He had trademark green hair, pale face and silly painted red grin.

• The Joker by Jack Nicholson in Batman (1989) was an entertaining Joker. He was a crime boss and had amazing style and character. He had trademark green hair, pale face and ridiculous red grin.

• The Joker by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight(2008) was unprecedented. He also has trademark green hair, pale face and red lips. He truly stole the show with this representation of Joker.

• The Joker by Jared Leto in Suicide Squad (2016) was a dark character with depth. He also has trademark green hair, pale face and red lips. The Jared Leto Joker was truly for the 21st Century with numerous tattoos and a metal mouth grill.

• The Joker by Joaquin Phoenix in Joker (2019) was the darkest Joker yet. The whole presentation of the Joker Origin story was extremely dark. He had the trademark green hair, a pale face and red lips. However, this joker was more of a clown with a red clown nose and blue clown eyes.

Thus, Isaias McGrath just may be the Joker of Hive Punks.
