BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge - Melee Mayhem

Hello to all fellow Spinterlands players!!!

Here we are again participating in this week's Battle Mage Secrets, the initiative proposed by the Splinterlands staff that encourages players to create posts, shared on various platforms, regarding battles and all the game mechanics. Not only does this help advertise this magnificent game, but it also helps bridge the gap between Hive and the social world of cryptocurrencies and traditional social platforms for those who are not familiar with the "alternative" worlds we frequent.

Melee Mayhem: With this ruleset, melee attack monsters can hit from any position. So, no more complicated calculations to decide which monster to position as a tank, and which others, instead, have Sneak, Reach, or Opportunity abilities. With Melee Mayhem, we can deploy all the melee monsters we want, being careful not to overdo it 😀.

And these are the game rules:

A Mana Cap of only 22, a bit low for my preferences. Usually, with Melee Mayhem, I like to use heavy melee monsters, but with this limit, I'll have to settle for the "smaller" ones.

Furthermore, there are two additional race rules: Rise of the Commons and Lost Magic. In short, there won't be any magic monsters in this battle, and they will generally be very "low cost."

And here's the battlefield:

I chose Tarsa as the summoner, precisely to make use of its +1 in melee, and I formed a team like this: Gargoya Lion, Cerberus, Ant Miners, Explosive Rats, Kobold Miner, and finally Furious Chicken. So, my team was primarily composed of melee monsters, 5 out of 6.

On the other hand, my opponent strangely chose Thaddius Brood, who gives a debuff of -1 to both Health and Magic attack. However, in this battle, there wouldn't be any magic monsters due to the Lost Magic ruleset.

His team was composed of: Cursed Windeku, Crypt Beetle, Carrion Shade, Creeping Ooze, Soul Strangler, and Ravenhood Warden.

Oh well, it was a devastating defeat. Already in the second round, my team was KO'd, and this was largely due to the MVP of the battle, Cursed Windeku. With its 10 Health points, Thorns and Heal abilities, and 3 points of melee attack, it practically won the battle on its own.

Now I understand why my opponent chose Thaddius Brood as the summoner, to deploy Cursed Windeku at level 5 in the first position!!!

Eccoci di nuovo a partecipare al Battle Mage Secrets di questa settimana, l'iniziativa proposta dallo staff di Splinterlands che incentiva i giocatori a creare post, condivisi su varie piattaforme, riguardanti le battaglia e tutte le meccaniche di gioco : questo non solo aiuta a far pubblicità a questo magnifico gioco, ma aiuta anche a creare un ponte tra Hive, e il mondo social delle cryptovalute, e i social tradizionali e chi non conosce i mondi "alternativi" che noi frequentiamo.

Melee Mayhem: con questo ruleset i mostri con attacco melee possono colpire da qualsiasi posizione.
Quindi, niente più calcoli strani per decidere quale mostro mettere in posizione tank, e quali altri, invece, possiedono le abilità Sneak, Reach o Oppurtinity, con Melee Mayhem possiamo schierare tutti i mostri melee che vogliamo, stando attenti a non esagerare 😀.

E queste sono le regole del gioco:

Ed ecco il campo di battaglia:

Io ho scelto Tarsa come evocatore, proprio per sfruttare il suo +1 in melee ed ho messo una squadra composta così: Gargoya Lion, Cerberus, Ant Miners, Explosive Rats, Kobold Miner, e infine Furious Chicken.
Quindi la mia squadra era basta principalmente su mostri melee, che sono 5 su 6.

Invece, il mio avversario, ha scelto stranamente Thaddius Brood, che da un debuff di -1 sia in Health che in attacco Magico, comunque in questa battaglia non ci sarebbero stati mostri magici per via del ruleset Lost Magic.

La sua squadra era così composta: Cursed Windeku, Crypt Beetle, Carrion Shade, Creeping Ooze, Soul Strangler e Ravenhood Warden.

Accidenti, è stata una sconfitta devastante: già al secondo round, la mia squadra era KO, ed è in gran parte per il MVP della battaglia, Cursed Windeku, che con i suoi 10 punti Health, le sue 2 abilità Thorns e Heal, e i suoi 3 punti di attacco Melee, ha praticamente vinto la battaglia da solo.

Ora capisco per che il mio avversario ha scelto Thaddius Brood come evocatore, per schierare Cursed Windeku al livello 5 in prima posizione !!!
