In this week's Social Media Challenge I am showcasing the most recent airdrop - Calamity.
Before we get into the stats discussion of Calamity, let's have a sneak peek into her LORE.
So, Calamity is a salamander with the power of a dragon. She is a powerful magic wield. We will definitely be able to tell that after having a look at her ability and stats below.
Calamity is a 4-mana Legendary card from the Dragon Element but she has the Mundane Beast bloodline. At level one she starts off with 3 Magic Attack, 4 Speed, 0 Armor and 9 HP.
She has one ability - Shapeshift

and one Debilitation - Electrified
. It's not surprising she has a Debilitation since she's already pretty powerful for a 4-mana Unit.
At level 2 she gains an additional ability - Life Leech. Life Leech is pretty good ability in general so it will definitely be helpful.

At level 3 she gains an additional point of health for a total of 10 and also one more ability - Expose
.
Finally at level 4 (max) she has 3 Magic Attack, 4 Speed, 0 Armor and 10 HP as well as 1 additional ability - Last Stand

Calamity is definitely a force to be reckoned with in any mana range but she is exceptionally strong in low-mana battles, especially Little League ones.
There are 3 rulesets in this battle - Earthquake (All nonflying and snared units take 2 physical damage at the end of each round.), Wands Out (You can only summon units with magic attacks.) and Even Stevens (You can only summon units with even mana costs.). The mana budget is 80 which is enough to accommodate any line-up in the game right now. The available Elements are all but the Water element. I'm going to go with the Dragon Element.
The main tank in this battle is Moribund Arrowbait is a 4-mana dual-attack Magic/Ranged Legendary Ulund Unit. At level 1 she starts off with 1 Ranged Attack, 1 Magic Attack, 1 Speed, 1 Armor and 1 HP. The ability she starts off with is a brand new one - Bloodline Tribute:

. This is a great new ability, and the goal of units with it will be to die quickly so they could buff the rest of their allies of the same bloodline.
. At level 2 she gains an extra point of Speed for a total of 2, and extra point of Armor for a total of 2 and an extra point of HP for a total 2. The second ability she gains is also a new one:

. It is an interesting ability even though I am not sure how useful it will be on this particular unit.
. Next at level 3 she gains 1 Ranged Attack for a total of 2 as well as 1 Speed for a total of 3 and 1 Armor for a total of 3. Finally at level 4 she has the same stats as at level 3. However, she also gains her final ability - Rebirth. Now that's huge because that means that she will trigger her Bloodline Tribute ability twice thus buffing all other Ulunds on the team twice. In general I think Moribund Arrobait is a very playable unit for 4 mana, specifically at max level.
In the off-tank spot I have placed Rage. He is a Legendary Monster. At level 1 he has 4 Magic Attack, 4 Speed, 5 Armor and 12 Health and he starts off with Flying (Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability) ability and Void (Reduced damage from Magic attacks). It is, of course, really, really useful if you want to put a Melee Monster without Reach in the off-tank spot.
At level 2 he gains his 3rd ability which is actually his signature one - Weapons Training (Adjacent units with no attack gain this unit's attack, up to a maximum of 3).
At level 3 he gains his 4th ability and 2nd in terms of importance - Life Leech (Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy Monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt). It is a pretty useful ability in the long battles of attrition which the Rebellion meta has brought upon us.
Finally, maxed out at level 4 he has 5 Magic Attack, 4 Speed, 5 Armor and 11 Health. He also gains his final ability - Affliction (When a Monster with Affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed).

In the 3th spot I've got the last RB promo card - Kelan Gaines. At level 1 Kelan starts off with 2 Magic Attack, 5 Speed and 6 Health, and the ability he's starting with is Snipe. Not so great for 8 mana imho, unless you have no other option but ofc could be used in the rare occasion you get a high mana battle in wood/bronze league. As soon as you get 5 copies of him and hit level 2 you get an additional ability - Phase. Now Phase + 5 Speed and 6 Health is not too shabby for a low league Anti-Magic tank. At level 4 things get spicier and he also gains Backfire. Now that's a formidable foe in Silver for sure. He also has 7 Health (gained at level 3). At level 5 he gains 1 more HP for a total of 8 and at level 6 another one for a total of 9. Level 7 gets his Speed to his max potential of 6. And we finally get to his final stats, we've already had a look at, at level 8. I can say that apart from getting a maxed level of him. Worth having levels would be level 2 - for the phase (5 copies). Level 4 for the Backfire (26 copies). Not sure that level 5 and 6 are that worth it for 1 extra HP each considering the exponential increase in price. If you get him to level 7, you might as well get all the way up to max for that Double Strike.

In the 4th spot I've got the Arcana Skinwalker. He's a great card on many occasions, including Wands Out. At max level he has 3 Magic Attack, 4 Armor, 6 HP and 3 Speed but again his kit is more important, and it is the following - Shapeshift (already discussed above), Rally, Camouflage and Silence. A second Silence is very important for the particular ruleset, so it will come very handy for sure.

5th in the line-up is Zyrx the Emberglace. Zyrx is one of the new airdrops for the CA set. He is a dual-attack Legendary dragon card, which costs 10 mana. At level 1 he has 2 Magic Attack, 5 Melee Attack, 4 Speed, 4 Armor and 10 HP. He also begins with 1 ability and 1 debilitation. The ability he begins with is Flying and the debilitation is Incendiary. At level 2 he gains one more Armor for a total of 5 and one new ability - Charge. At level 3 he gains 1 more Armor for a total of 6 and yet another new ability - Execute. Finally at level 4 he has 2 Magic Attack, 5 Melee Attack, 7 Armor, 4 Speed and 10 HP. He also gains his final ability - Bloodlust.

Last in the line-up I have placed one protagonist for this post - Calamity. Her placement is obvious - she has Last Stand after all so it's a good idea to create the needed conditions for her Last Stand to trigger.

It is time for a quick round by round analysis:
The Archon I am going with for the battle is Akane. I am hoping to manage to surprise my opponent during the Ambush stage of the battle which Akane enables. My opponent has decided to go with Lorkus, which is a standard pick for a Wands Out battle.

- After the Ambush phase I've managed to remove the Armor of the enemy Tank with Taunt in the first position.

- Round 2 - I've taken down the enemy frontline Taunt unit and I've almost killed the backline Taunt unit, while I have only lost Meribund Arrowbait - which is what I want as she has buffed two of my other units.

- Round 3 - the battles is almost over, I just need to clean up the remainder of the enemy units.

Calamity is a Legendary card you should not be sleeping on. She is currently being traded at $6.30 per bcx and I think that this price for her is actually a very, very good deal as the card is very strong.
