Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - My experience in survival mode
Hello game lovers!
As it is known by all Splinterlands is updated and reinvented all the time looking to offer an unforgettable experience for all the lovers of this game, that is why we always keep the hope that the best is yet to come, and we keep the focus on our growth and accumulation of assets in order to build a very powerful account, that although it is not being easy I think it is just a matter of time, that is why we are in patience mode believing that by maintaining discipline and constancy we can achieve it.
I have already mentioned some situations that prevent me from having the constancy I would like to have in the game, however, every day I am attentive to the game and everything related to the updates introduced by the developers, I should also mention that my account is growing day by day, either by my SPS in Stake or the accumulation of cards, so we continue on the road to victory in Splinterlands.
This time I will share with you my experience in SURVIVAL mode, yes, in recent days I decided to try this new game mode implemented in one of the latest updates of the game, and in this post I will share part of this first experience, highlighting the positive and negative things of this game mode.
SURVIVAL MODE
I would like to share first of all the positive aspects of the survival mode or maybe mix the positive things with the negative ones, but in a way that is understandable for you, understanding that this is my personal opinion based on the experience I just had, however, I think I need to play much more than a few games to understand the true potential of this new game mode.
You can use all card editions
One of the most favorable points I find in this game mode is that unlike others here we can use decks of any edition, from the first to the most recent, an advantage for pioneer players because of their collections or combinations used for years, in my specific case it favors me, not because of my collection but because of my experience with previous editions.
Disabling of equipment
One of the most challenging innovations is the disabling of a card or even all the equipment used in the battle, because if you lose a battle all the equipment used in that battle will be disabled, but if you win the battle and an ally is eliminated that ally is disabled for a number of days that varies according to its rarity.
In addition to the aforementioned disabling causes, if you give up before starting the combat or during it, you will be disabled a random unit and a summoner of its element.
In my opinion, all this makes each combat more exciting despite the fact that if you lose, your entire team will be disabled, since it forces you to improve in each game to avoid having disabled cards.
Rental, delegation and sale
In this mode, it is limited to rent the sale or delegation of cards while the cards are disabled, that is, they are not only blocked for the game, but also for any action that has to do with the card involved, positive or negative, I do not know, it is just another limitation.
Although I am not totally sure about this, apparently if you have a disabled card, you have the possibility to go to the market and rent a similar card or the same card to keep playing and not stop the fun.
Energy consumption
The energy consumption is also a relatively recent update in the game, however, for this mode the energy consumption is eliminated, one of the things that I point out as positive since you can play as long as you want without worrying about the energy running out, logically with the limitation now that there are disabling cards.
Another of my observations is that you can see the enabled and disabled cards in your collection with the following filters:
Survival Mode Enable: These are the cards that are enabled to play the mode.
Survival Mode Disabled: These are the cards that are not Survival Mode Enabled.
Survival Mode Cooldown: These are the cards that are currently on cooldown.

Conclusions
In conclusion I would like to say that every update introduced in the game, seeks to maintain the interest, improve the experience of the players and offer more reward options and reach as many people as possible so that our community continues to grow, in this sense I must say that this game mode is surely an option for a particular group of players who will accommodate to it to live the experience and try to be efficient in this win win or play2earn.
For now I still have more battles to play in this mode to share a broader, fairer and more detailed appreciation of the survival mode, so for now I will say that for me it was a good experience, that this mode expands the options to more players and will end up attracting the right people who adapt and end up liking this new way of playing splinterlands.
The invitation is for you to try the new survival mode and live the experience, and if you still do not belong to the Splinterlands community, join today and live the play2earn experience in this ecosystem.
