Splinterlands * My trip through Splinterlands, Ep. 1, today Earth Quest, My Battle Day 4 of Season, searching for a strategy

Today it was the Earth Summoner's turn. I don't think it's bad to play this quest, but today I had the first noticeable problem. My opponents were relatively mixed, but it took me numerous tries to finally make my daily. Hard thing today! I started using a Melee Attack card with Thorn ability, as many do. My Summoner gave Magic plus 1, and I jammed as many cards as I could with Magic attacks behind. That also worked at first, but then always got opponents with better Thorn cards. Was rolled over.

I switched to only-magic so that I didn't get two hp or armor subtracted from my melee attack on the "Thorn".
Didn't really make me happy either.
I used then Melee with Flying ability with high attack and HP, only just-for-fun. Then changed again and again, at some point had the necessary 5 wins together.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out a real strategy today, but I'll take a look at my card repertoire over the next few days and see what's feasible.

Finally, I needed, today, 14 matches to get my daily- qust solved.
I was, even, for a short time back in Novice. I lost a bit in rating to during my battles, but I hope to climb in the coming days.
