Progress on Maxing Out Rebellion Soulbound Set: Focus on Legendary Draws Again
A few hours before the end of the ranked play season at Splinterlands, and it's time to see my progress on maxing out my Rebellion soulbound reward cards.
I was a bit all over the place with the reward cards purchased this season, because I switched multiple times due to starting to maxing out cards on all rarities.
I started by purchasing 5 legendary draws. Then I switched to epics and purchased 10 of them. My progress on epics is the highest, so I keep hitting duplicates. I then switched to rares until I maxed my first one, and then switched to commons and maxed one there too. And then bought more legendary draws until today (for a total of 7 out of 10), and the remaining Glint I put into rare and common ones.
So, let's see what I did with the Glint this season.
I purchased 7 legendary draws, 10 epic draws, 31 rare draws, and 164 common draws. I have no Glint left.
That makes it easy to see how much Glint I earned this season (including the season rewards from last season). That makes it a total of 367,850 Glint used for draw purchases this season (+0 remaining in my stash for a total of 367,850). Last season I had a total of 322,500 Glint in purchases. That means I spent 45,350 more Glint this season.

That's +6% to the progress of legendary cards, +2% progress to epic cards (and +2% to epic GF), +3% progress to rare cards (and +1% to the rare GF), and 5% progress to the common cards (and +1% to the common GF).
I now have 3 maxed out epics and 2 maxed out legendary cards. I also have 1 maxed common and rare cards now.
I will continue with the same strategy as last season, focusing mainly on legendary cards, with epics and the rest following. Common and rare I leave last since they are easier to max, since most cards from tier advancement chests are common and rare also.
Here are the "before and after" snapshots for the Rebellion SB legendary cards, which are my current main focus. "Before" first:

This season, 1 legendary card was upgraded to level 3.
Perhaps a more relevant metric is the amount of Glint already spent compared to the total amount needed to max out the SB set (only regulars).

Oh, nice!! You maxed out everything but a few legendaries. That's where I had the most issues on CL too. I still wasn't able to max 2 of them to the end (missed 2 BCX, 1 for per card).
I spent quite a bit of $ trying to complete those silly CL Rew Cards 😒
You did? I preferred not to buy the missing 2 BCX from the market after everything was over. Probably will do the same now. There are enough (too many) directions in which my DEC/SPS is pulled, mostly related to my land.

The CB mage is such a formidable legendary card. Some of the soulbound legendary card at max of close to max are great contenders, the problem is that it's hard to get enough Glints to build them up. First time you're making an end of the season post, on the exact same day the season ends
Haha, not the first time, but it's true, it happened to do it one day before more than once due to other posts that were scheduled when the season ended.
They do cost a lot, that's true. When I hit a duplicate I have maxed it's certainly not a good feeling.
That's the problem. Imagine maxing out a legendary, and you go shopping for others and get a duplicate. Burning isn't even profitable, so it's mostly not a great solution.
I don't have to imagine. It already happened more than a few times with this set. It's going to be very expensive to max out the legendary cards.
I am almost done with Epic Cards. Now I have focused on Legendary, leaving out the the few missing BCX to come from Reward Chests. Best of Luck!
I haven't been very lucky with reward chests. Even when I sometimes got legendary or epics, I hit the ones I already had maxed, which is the irony of being lucky and still unlucky at the same time.

I have been through this so many times. I have some Epic duplicates at Level 3 withe few more Cards around. I experienced the same during Chaos Legion Reward Cards mainly for Legendary Monsters.
That happens at the end, it's unavoidable.
You still purchase commons? OK they are not maxed but they are pretty useless
I want them maxed out. You never know how they'll become useful in a certain combination or a future game mode.
Wow, you are doing great. I think that the commons will come eventually through the chests. Those and rares tend to be quite common so focusing on epics/legendary seems like the best bet. Either way, maxing those reward cards will come soon enough for you.
Hopefully, but hitting many duplicates will prolongue the process. For example, I bought 5 legendary draws with season rewards today. 3 of them were duplicates of max level cards. 😕
