Hola amantes del cine y la televisión en hive, hoy les traigo mi opinión sobre ésta serie la cual me ví para salir un poco de la rutina de serie de ciencia ficción, una serie totalmente increíble que me cambio la perspectiva de muchas cosas de mi vida y que sin duda recomiendo muchísimo. Hello movie and TV lovers in hive, today I bring you my opinion about this series which I watched to get out of the routine of science fiction series, a totally amazing series that changed my perspective on many things in my life and I certainly recommend it a lot. Vamos a hablar primero del cast de esta serie, el cual es bastante extenso pero de nuestros personajes principales tenemos a: Jeremy Allen White interpretando a Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto el cual es un aclamado chef de Nueva York que decide volver a su natal Chicago a dirigir el restaurante "The Beef" de su hermano Michael. Ebon Moss-Bachrach como Richard "Richie" Jerimovich gerente de dicho restaurante y un viejo amigo del hermano de Carmen, Ayo Edebiri como Sydney Adamu una inteligente y talentosa chef que recientemente se une a trabajar en el restaurante, Lionel Boyce como Marcus panadero estrella del restaurante, Liza Colón-Zayas como Tina una cocinera veterana con un fuerte carácter y por último Abby Elliott como Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto hermana de Carmen y de Michael y además co-propietaria del restaurante.

Con un gran cast podemos degustar cada una de las personalidades tan fuertes y a la vez excepcionales de estas personas singulares que se unen con un mismo fin, darle vida a el restaurante The Beef y sacarlo adelante.

Let's talk first about the cast of this series, which is quite extensive but of our main characters we have: Jeremy Allen White playing Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto which is an acclaimed New York chef who decides to return to his native Chicago to run his brother Michael's restaurant "The Beef". Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richard "Richie" Jerimovich manager of the restaurant and an old friend of Carmen's brother, Ayo Edebiri as Sydney Adamu a smart and talented chef who recently joins the restaurant, Lionel Boyce as Marcus star baker of the restaurant, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina a veteran cook with a strong character and finally Abby Elliott as Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto sister of Carmen and Michael and also co-owner of the restaurant.

With a great cast we can taste each of the strong yet exceptional personalities of these unique people who come together for the same purpose, to bring The Beef restaurant to life and move it forward.

Ésta serie de televisión estadounidense de genero comedia dramática se estrenó el 23 de junio del 2022 y cuenta con al dirección de Christopher Storer, cuenta con una temporada de 8 episodios y estos varían desde 20 a 44 minutos de duración. Cada capítulo es más intenso que el anterior no solo por la cantidad de movimientos, ruidos y desastre que hay en la cocina sino el como poco a poco vamos conociendo más las historias de cada uno de nuestros personajes y como estos son fundamentales para el desarrollo del programa. Para mi suerte esta serie fue renovada para una segunda temporada recientemente.

This American television series of comedy-drama genre premiered on June 23, 2022 and has the direction of Christopher Storer, has a season of 8 episodes and these vary from 20 to 44 minutes long. Each episode is more intense than the previous one, not only because of the amount of movements, noises and disaster in the kitchen, but also because of how little by little we get to know more about the stories of each of our characters and how they are fundamental for the development of the show. For my luck this series was renewed for a second season recently.

Hablemos un poco más a profundidad sobre la trama. Nos enfrentamos con Carmen, un chef reconocido por su increíble talento que luego de enterar que su hermano se había suicidado este le dejo su restaurante, The Beef, carmen decide volver a Chicago y encargase del restaurante pero lo que no tomaba en cuenta era el estado en el que este restaurante se encontraba, no solo hundido en deudas sino que era un completo caos toda la distribución y la dinámica entre los empleados, además de esto el restaurante estaba en muy malas condiciones en donde no solo a veces se dañaban máquinas sino que llegaban momentos difíciles en dónde no tenían dinero para completar las raciones mínimas del día. Todo es un completo caos y no hablo del restaurante sino de la historia y la vida de Carmen, quien pasó parte de sus días como aprendiz de cocinero siendo completamente duro consigo mismo por sus problemas familiares y por sus propios pensamientos.

We are faced with Carmen, a chef known for his incredible talent that after learning that his brother had committed suicide he left him his restaurant, The Beef, Carmen decides to return to Chicago and take charge of the restaurant but what he did not take into account was the state in which this restaurant was, not only sunk in debt but was a complete chaos all the distribution and dynamics between employees, besides this the restaurant was in very poor condition where not only sometimes machines were damaged but there came difficult times where they had no money to complete the minimum rations of the day. Everything is a complete chaos and I am not talking about the restaurant but about the story and life of Carmen, who spent part of his days as an apprentice cook being completely hard on himself because of his family problems and his own thoughts.

Comencé a verme está serie luego de conocer un poco a el protagonista de ella y además de enterarme que la serie fue ganadora de un Golden Globe, además de que quería desconectarme un poco de la ciencia ficción y todo ese mundo y quería aventurarme a ver una serie más sería y real, The Bear tuvo un comienzo duro, mostrando lo estresante y fuerte que es trabajar como chef y no solo como chef sino como dueño, como cocinero, como empleado, atendiendo al público, etc. Puedo decir que la serie me tocó muy profundo debido a que en ese momento quería tener un enfoque algo realista de la vida y no solo ésta serie me lo brindó sino que me hizo aprender muchas cosas. Una serie completamente caótica que nos muestra un poco de lo que es el día a día de un adulto, las responsabilidades, la autoridad, el manejo del control, todo se muestra lo mas realista posible y nos hace tener diferentes puntos de vista de las vidas de las personas y de las cuales no saben que peso puedan estar cargando.

I started watching this series after getting to know a little bit about the main character of it and also after learning that the series was a Golden Globe winner, plus I wanted to disconnect a little bit from science fiction and all that world and I wanted to venture to see a more serious and real series, The Bear had a hard beginning, showing how stressful and hard it is to work as a chef and not only as a chef but as an owner, as a cook, as an employee, attending the public, etc. I can say that the series touched me very deeply because at that time I wanted to have a somewhat realistic approach to life and not only this series gave me that but it made me learn many things. A completely chaotic series that shows us a little of what is the day to day life of an adult, responsibilities, authority, control management, everything is shown as realistic as possible and makes us have different points of view of the lives of people who do not know what weight they may be carrying.

Algo que no solo me impulso a continuar viéndola y que incluso me motivaba a verme más de un capítulo al día fue la comedia y ese toque de realidad que necesitaba, es una serie completamente enganchante y aunque pueda parecer solo una serie de cocina va muchísimo más allá de ello, es sobre sentimientos, sobre pensamientos reprimidos, sobre el dolor y la perdida, sobre las frustraciones y sobre todo lo que implica ser una persona adulta, amé completamente esta serie y siendo sincera podría vermela de nuevo. Podemos ver a los personajes siendo completamente humanos y expresando sus frustraciones así como también ocultando emociones y dolores, es algo que hace que esta serie se sienta tan realista, cada episodio te va describiendo más sobre la historia de aquel extraño y controvertido restaurante, de la vida de Carmen y de como oculta lo mucho que le afectó la muerte de su hermano. Es una historia fuerte en dónde vemos a nuestros personajes sintiendo ansiedad, problemas para dormir y como intentan mantenerse ocupados para evitar resolver aquellos conflictos que cargan en silencio.

Something that not only pushed me to continue watching it and even motivated me to watch more than one episode a day was the comedy and that touch of reality that I needed, it is a completely engaging series and although it may seem just a cooking series it goes way beyond that, it is about feelings, about repressed thoughts, about pain and loss, about frustrations and about everything that being an adult implies, I completely loved this series and to be honest I could watch it again. We get to see the characters being completely human and expressing their frustrations as well as hiding emotions and pain, it's something that makes this series feel so realistic, each episode tells you more about the story of that strange and controversial restaurant, Carmen's life and how she hides how much she was affected by her brother's death. It's a strong story where we see our characters feeling anxious, having trouble sleeping and trying to keep busy to avoid resolving the conflicts they carry in silence.

Otra de las cosas súper importantes dentro de la trama es la forma de abordar el tema del suicidio el cual es representado en la muerte del hermano de Carmen quien se suicidó y luego de esto es que Carmen decide trabajar en The Beef. El argumento de la serie se propone en explorar los problemas cotidianos además de el frenético ritmo de un restaurante pero también toca un tema importante, el dolor, la pena y el miedo de las personas que sobreviven al suicidio de un pariente cercano. La serie no enfoca el desarrollo del duelo directamente sino que lo hace a través de la actividad diaria del restaurante y quizás esta sea una de las razones por las que se ve tan real la serie ya que no maneja el duelo directamente sino que el personaje se llena de acontecimientos hasta que decidí hacer frente de lo que ocurrió. Nuestro protagonista Carmy no tiene mucha idea de que llevo a Mike, su hermano, a hacer lo que hizo pero intentan comprenderlo, a través del restaurante, conociendo sobre el origen de las deudas, preguntando sobre el con los empleados con ello podemos ver que también atraviesa por fases, como la culpa y la angustia además de sentir que debió haber hecho más por su hermano.

Another of the super important things in the plot is the way of approaching the theme of suicide which is represented in the death of Carmen's brother who committed suicide and after this is that Carmen decides to work at The Beef. The plot of the series sets out to explore everyday problems in addition to the frenetic pace of a restaurant but also touches on an important theme, the pain, grief and fear of people who survive the suicide of a close relative. The series does not focus on the development of grief directly but does so through the daily activity of the restaurant and perhaps this is one of the reasons why the series looks so real as it does not handle grief directly but rather the character is filled with events until I decide to cope with what happened. Our protagonist Carmy doesn't have much idea what drove Mike, his brother, to do what he did but they try to understand him, through the restaurant, learning about the origin of the debts, asking about him with the employees with it we can see that he also goes through phases, such as guilt and anguish as well as feeling that he should have done more for his brother.

The Bear trata el dolor y el sufrimiento sin palabras, y aunque se ve como Carmy intenta lidiar con ello podemos ver que no sabe exactamente que hacer de igual forma este personaje dice "Nadie te habla de estas cosas" mientras está revisando las deudas pero no se refiere a ellas exactamente sino a la sensación de vacío y la ausencia. Nuestro protagonista no solo se guarda todos sus pensamientos al respecto sino que lidia con su sufrimiento a través del trabajo, manteniendo su cuerpo y su mente lo suficientemente ocupados como para evitar lidiar con las emociones.

The Bear deals with pain and suffering without words, and although we see how Carmy tries to deal with it we can see that he doesn't know exactly what to do in the same way this character says "Nobody talks to you about these things" while he is going through the debts but he doesn't refer to them exactly but to the feeling of emptiness and absence. Our protagonist not only keeps all his thoughts about it to himself but deals with his suffering through work, keeping his body and mind busy enough to avoid dealing with the emotions.

La serie The Bear emplea delicadamente la muerte del hermano de Carmy sin que esto sea un tema recurrente presente sino que está ahí pero lo que vemos es la madurez de como el sufrimiento puede apoderarse de todos los ámbitos cotidianos de la vida, creo que uno de los puntos a favor de esta serie es el hecho de mostrar el después, la vida después de estos sucesos que a veces son solo inexplicables, la forma en la que nos sobrecargados de actividades solo para evitar tener un segundo a solas con nuestros pensamientos, la forma en la que intentamos darle explicación a las situaciones y como pretendemos hacer como si no nos afecta pero en realidad cada ámbito de nuestra vida cambia totalmente y aunque estemos totalmente absortos en un estilo de vida altamente activo y en constante movimiento luego podremos darnos cuenta de cómo nuestra vida y todo lo que antes hacíamos ha cambiado. Aún así podemos ver cómo los empleados de The Beef forman parte importante de la vida de nuestro protagonista porque no solo son un pilar para mantener el restaurante sino que luego se convertirían en su familia.

The Bear series delicately employs the death of Carmy's brother without this being a recurring theme present but it is there but what we see is the maturity of how suffering can take over all the daily areas of life, I think one of the points in favor of this series is the fact of showing the after, the life after these events that sometimes are just inexplicable, the way in which we overload ourselves with activities just to avoid having a second alone with our thoughts, the way in which we try to give an explanation to situations and how we pretend to pretend as if we are not affected but in reality every area of our life changes totally and even if we are totally absorbed in a highly active lifestyle and in constant movement then we can realize how our life and everything we used to do has changed. Yet we can see how the employees of The Beef form an important part of our protagonist's life because they are not only a pillar to maintain the restaurant but they would later become his family.
