Greetings, friends. For the past few days, I've been sharing a series of Splinterlands figurines with you. The last one I shared was a Drybone Barbarian figure. I really liked this sculpture, and today I'd like to share another figurine inspired by another character from this game.

Saludos amigos. Desde hace unos días he estado compartiendo con ustedes una serie de figuritas de splinterlands. La última que compartí fue una figura de Drybone Barbarian. Es una escultura que me gustó mucho y hoy me gustaría compartir otra figurita inspirada en otro personaje de este juego.

Step by step

This is a relatively simple figurine because it is a torso with a large swirl at the bottom. The torso is relatively straightforward to create and, in my opinion, not particularly challenging.

You see, to start making it, you have to make a shape similar to an arrowhead, as you can see in the image on the left. From this shape, I began to mold the abs and pecs, which are relatively easy to make once you have the basic shape to work with.

Es una figurita relativamente sencilla. Porque es un torso con un enorme remolino en la parte inferior. El torso es un poco sencillo de hacer, en mi opinión no es tan difícil.

Verán, para comenzar a hacerlo hay que hacer una forma similar a una punta de flecha, tal como pueden ver en la imagen de la izquierda. A partir de esta forma comencé a moldear los abdominales y pectorales, que son relativamente fáciles de hacer una vez que ya tienes la forma base sobre la cual trabajar.

After making the torso, I started working on the arms, although the character is not as muscular as others I have made. I did think I should make him muscular enough, but in a moderate way, like a good swimmer.

So I started making the arms, quite defined as you can see in the image on the left. I put some wires in them to serve as support and attached them to the torso, as you can see in the image on the right.

Después de hacer el torso, comencé a trabajar en los brazos, aunque el personaje no es tan musculoso como otros que he hecho. Sí pensé que debería hacerlo lo suficiente musculoso, pero de manera moderada, como un buen nadador.

Así pues comencé a hacer los brazos, bastante definidos como pueden observar en la imagen de la izquierda. Le coloqué unos alambres para que estor sirvieran de soporte y los pegué en el torso, tal como pueden ver en la imagen de la derecha.

In my opinion, it's a relatively easy way to do it. So once I had finished the torso and arms, I continued with the lower part, which would be the base for the whole figurine.

To do this, I used blue plasticine mixed with black, a little light blue plasticine, and even darker plasticine. I mixed all of these together, but not completely. I took this mixture of modeling clay and made a hollow swirl where the character's torso could fit.

With the help of a knitting needle, I made the lines you see in the swirl. I also used a piece of wire to provide support and fit the torso in there, so it would stay in place.

En mi opinión es una forma relativamente fácil de hacer. Así que una vez terminado el torso y los brazos, continué con la parte inferior, que sería el soporte de toda la figurita.

Para hacerlo usé plastilina azul, mezclada con negra, un poco de plastilina azul clara y plastilina aún más oscura. Todos estos los mezclé, pero no por completo. Tomé esta mezcla de plastilina e hice un remolino hueco, donde pudiera encajar el torso del personaje.

Con ayuda de una guja de tejer hice las líneas que ven en el remolino, también usé un trozo de alambre para poder dar soporte y encajar el torso allí, así quedaría fijo en su lugar.

At this point, I had the body of the figurine ready, so I continued with the forearms to make a kind of thick bracelets that the character wears. After that, I made the head.

I made the head with plasticine of the same shade as the torso, adding as many details as possible, since it is not easy to make a face at this scale. Even so, I completed the face by adding a pair of white eyes. Then I added the hair, using bright blue plasticine.

You can see that I placed plasticine around the head so that the hair would fall back. I also added eyebrows in the same color and a large beard that would also stand out on the figurine.

Ya en este punto tenía el cuerpo de la figurita lista, así que continué con los antebrazos para hacerle una suerte de brazaletes gruesos que muestra el personaje. Luego de esto, le hice la cabeza.

La cabeza la hice con plastilina de la misma tonalidad que el torso, agregando la mayor cantidad de detalles posibles, pues no es del todo fácil de hacer un rostro a esta escala. Aún así completé el rostro colocándole un par de ojos blancos. Luego le agregué el cabello, con plastilina de color azul intenso.

Pueden ver que coloqué plastilina alrededor de la cabeza, de manera que el cabello cayera hacia atrás. También le coloqué las cejas de este mismo color y una gran barba que también destacase en la figurita.

The last thing I did was the hands. An artist once told me that the most difficult parts to draw are the hands and feet. I agree with him, and not only in drawing, but also in sculpture. It's not easy to make hands, let alone feet, which I consider even more difficult.

Well, I made the hands and placed them in position, using the piece of wire that sticks out from the arms. It's worth noting that I used a little glue on each piece to give them more support and help them stay in place over time. That's how each piece ended up in its place.

Ya lo último que hice fueron las manos. Un dibujante me dijo una vez que las partes más difíciles de dibujar son las manos y los pies. Estoy de acuerdo con él y no solo en dibujo, también en escultura. No es fácil hacer manos, mucho menos pies, los cuales considero que son aún más difíciles.

Pues bien, las manos las hice y las coloqué en su lugar, valiéndome del trozo de alambre que sobresale de los brazos. Cabe destacar que en cada pieza usé un poco de pegamento para dar mayor soporte a las piezas y que estas pudieran mantenerse mejor con el tiempo. Así quedó cada pieza en su lugar.
