Pixel Art Avatar: "Clown 119"
A couple of decades ago, people would take art classes to open their eyes. These days, people are more interested in knowing what style of work they should be pursuing. More competitive methods like identifying your style are becoming popular so I wanted to share what is sometimes a struggle for artists who have not naturally had a talent for drawing or painting and want to find out what their strengths actually will be.
Every artist has a certain style that reflects their personality and creates individual works that share those qualities with the world. However, it takes time, patience, and passion to master patience in your technique. It may have taken two months or two years of dedication but these things humanizes one's artwork into something not just ordinary but special as well; transforming creativity into talent.
Creativity is a key to success, be it in business or in anything. Creativity lies within putting forth a fresh idea, asking good questions, and being willing to take risks. An artist that is uncreative may not be as successful as one who’s able to stand out and become popular.
With art skills, you can often think positively. Seeing your artwork for what it is, a colorful representation of your own story is enough to make you want to create more and explore without limits.
What is the secret to making yourself stand out as an artist? It is important to find out what your unique style of art is. To do this, you need to find a subject that can resonate with the feelings and the connection of people.
One way to find a subject that can resonate with others is by observing everyday life for advice. Another way is about expressing intangible ideas and human emotions in a more tangible form using archetypes or metaphors instead of rigid forms and shapes. There are plenty of opportunities in arts and crafts; including jewelry, illustration, drawing, painting, design, and photography.
