Pixel Art Avatar: "Clown 118"
This old-school expression "the essence of all art is to have pleasure in giving pleasure" sparks my curiosity.
The essence of all art is to have a good character without reservations and without comparing one's self with others. The whole philosophy hinges on the idea that fake or unattainable pleasures should be discarded so that natural, ecstatic illusions can take root.
Some have argued that true creativity has no external goal in mind, but rather is an inward expression of feeling and potency. Many more believe that we cannot separate the time of creation from the time when we look at it, as in many ways a creator's talent lies in fixing an audience's attention on specific ideas.
Art is traditionally defined by its narcissistic passion. These wide-ranging definitions open up a lot of different avenues in art theory, not just exploring the expression of individual sentiments, but also searching for connections or acting upon them might make the creation transcend from its subjective to an objective status because it arises from communication within society and the artist reflects their personal interpretations of how life should be.
