Las costumbres o precauciones oratorias / Oratory customs or precautions (Esp- Eng)

En el discurso oral, ese que de manera tradicional dividimos en tres partes, el inicio cumple una función muy importante en la que todo orador debe triunfar, es la que denominaron los maestros griegos como "costumbre" o "precauciones oratorias".

Es decir, cuando iniciamos nuestra intervención debemos tener claro que el público tiene una posición natural hacia el tema, hacia nosotros como oradores y hacia el contexto en el cual estamos, es por ello que debemos lograr asociarnos con sus predisposiciones, sortear las contrarias posturas y alinearnos con los intereses que les dominen. Cuando el orador logra todo esto, estamos en presencia de un triunfador que consideró de manera correcta las necesidades e intereses del público, logrando mantener la expectación, generar empatía y cautivar el interés.

Por consiguiente, las precauciones o costumbres oratorias son el estudio, organización y acción discursiva que hace el orador para lograr que el público quiera escucharlo y valore como importante su intervención.

In the oral speech, that which we traditionally divide into three parts, the beginning fulfills a very important function in which every speaker must succeed, it is what the Greek masters called "custom" or "oratorical precautions".

That is to say, when we start our intervention we must be clear that the audience has a natural position towards the subject, towards us as speakers and towards the context in which we are, that is why we must manage to associate ourselves with their predispositions, avoid the contrary positions and align ourselves with the interests that dominate them. When the speaker achieves all this, we are in the presence of a winner who correctly considered the needs and interests of the audience, managing to maintain the expectation, generate empathy and captivate the interest.

Therefore, the oratorical precautions or customs are the study, organization and discursive action that the speaker does to make the public want to listen to him and value his intervention as important.
