The Path to Thebes.

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

I met Alva at the dig site after defeating a machine beast, only to be interrupted by Ceo and Bohai, who sought Ted Faro's tomb. When a massive titanium door blocked our path, I dived into the flooded construction passages, navigating dangerous turbines and high pressure to find a way inside.

After taking down the machine beast, the door to the dig site was opened for me. There I met Alva, who was happy that I got rid of that machine so she could continue her research.

While the ladies were having a good chat, there came Ceo along with Bohai and some of their soldiers. Bohai appreciated the work of Aloy, and then Ceo mentioned they were there to enter Thebes.

All of them started walking towards the underground cave to find the entrance to the tomb. The cinematic at that moment looked very cool as the Quen expedition moved deeper into the cave.

After reaching a big locked door that should lead to the facility, Aloy scanned it. She confirmed it was a titanium metal alloy door that was Gene-locked, meaning they could not break or destroy it easily.

Alva mentioned they had found evidence of passages below, perhaps built for construction or servants. However, she mentioned they were too far underwater for her to reach, so Aloy volunteered to help.

I jumped in the water and started diving without any hesitation as I already had gear that helped me breathe underwater. The flooded ruins were dark, but my focus helped me navigate the depths.

Far below, I noticed there was something glowing, so I headed towards it to investigate. A heavy water pressure was pushing me back upwards, making it difficult to maintain my depth in the current.

I noticed there was a hatch above leading to the other side, which looked like it could be my way out. I started swimming towards it, pushing through the murky water to find an opening.

When I reached this pipeline, both sides were covered with turbine fans. They were stopped at first, but one started rotating again, so I had to wait for it to be still before swimming through.

The next post will be coming soon. Screenshots are my take from the game and I took the game logo that I used on the thumbnail picture from online.

SEE YOU.

Seeing the expedition move together into the cave looked really cinematic, a cool shift in pace. And the underwater navigation added a strong sense of danger and curiosity. I'm curious to see what happened next.

Great transition from combat to exploration, moving smoothly from defeating the machine beast into story driven exploration without losing momentum. The whole gameplay felt immersive to watch.

The way you handled the underwater diving showed patience and awareness, especially when dealing with strong currents and turbine hazards. I was waiting to see if the restarts right when you were passing it, lol. But it didn't which is great.

Haha, I was half-expecting a restart too, those turbines were plotting against me.

Your pacing during the dive was really effective since you carefully explored the environment instead of rushing ahead. I was also curious to see what was below there but then I noticed what you were talking about pushing you upwards.

Yeah, that push upwards caught me off guard too. I swear the game was trolling me a bit there.

The underwater section sounds intense. Navigating through dark, flooded ruins while dealing with those turbine fans must have been stressful. Nicely described the game. well done.

My character handled it bravely, meanwhile I was panicking behind the screen, lol.

I really like how you showed Aloy stepping up to help when Alva couldn’t reach the submerged passages. It highlights her bravery and confidence, especially diving in without hesitation. The glowing object in the depths and the hidden hatch make the exploration feel suspenseful and rewarding.

Yeah, Aloy taking the risk herself made the whole moment feel heroic and natural within the story.

Loved this part of the game. The moment when Ceo casually announces they’re about to enter Thebes gave me chills. The tension between Aloy and the Quen keeps building, and that cinematic of the expedition walking into the cave felt epic and mysterious at the same time. Great storytelling.

Walking into Thebes felt like stepping into something huge and dangerous, and the tension with the Quen keeps getting bigger.

Those turbines looked like instant game over traps, the ones that we had to dodge in any Prince of Persia game, though doesn't look that dangerous. So, everyone stayed dry while Aloy did all the risky work.

Those turbines definitely gave classic trap vibes, but yeah, Aloy ended up handling all the risky parts while everyone else stayed safe.

The noise in the underwater was so realistic and it felt like I was there with you when I was watching the video with my headphones on.

The muffled sounds underwater made the whole section feel tense and real while playing too.
