(its very rare for me to share anything from the origin of my country, but I think this year everyone back in Portugal helped a bit, which was super awesome)

The 🍷 wine and 🧀 cheese!

From my wife and friends side, we got a DAO bottle, not very vintage (Aldeia de Irmaos), but from 2014!!! Which was super nice to drink... old wines is not something I am very used to, but I usually enjoy them quite a lot due to the discovery most of time is.

Followed by the wine was the sheep cheese (highly curated/dry version) that came in vacuum packs, but it always transforms the cheese a bit during the long flight and quarantine (sometimes) process.

And then, it was time for the Bacalhau... 🤑😱😋 cooked at "Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá" style with some shortcuts 😅 (no olives or parsley) but the way my mother in law would do it. Super yummy and it was a perfect moment to recall old times.

I am not very good with plate presentations, but I can tell you, the taste was hummmmmmmmmm, kind of thing. Some ingredients do make some taste shifting like NZ onions, garlic, etc... but they are all little details you can notice and even appreciate if you are used to both sides of the taste. Which is/was my case 😋

Aside from these there is a ton of deserts completely obliterated by the guests and children. No photos... sorry! Eating comes first and recording moments you already know, last! 🤣 The things I managed to get into this post was mainly because they were enjoyed slowly, giving me time to think about recording them.
