Weekly HSBI Giveaway for the Splinterlands Community #7

HSBI Titelbild.png

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the my weekly HSBI giveaway for the Splinterlands community!

There was no news worth mentioning about Splinterlands this week either, but rumors and small teasers about the new expansion Conclave Arcana are piling up on X, Discord and other channels. I suspect we'll get an announcement here either this week or next. I'm already pretty excited about it and say that this expansion will be very successful. I can't explain this on the basis of any arguments, I just have a good feeling about Splinterlands. A lot of things are going in the right direction at the moment. Even if the stock and crypto market in general is falling sharply.

Answers to the last Question:

Last week's question was "Which ranked mode do you prefer to play: Wild or Modern?". This time, six people took part and answered the question. Let's have a look at some of your answers.

@olaf.gui:

I prefer Modern because it's the one I have the cards for.

I have often read this answer or similar answers. If you already have the cards for Modern, it probably also makes sense to play Modern, as the rewards are sometimes higher here.

@hatdogsensei:

I would go with Modern as Wild needs the pass

Of course, this is also an aspect that should be taken into account. If you pay 2000 DEC for a pass every season, i.e. approximately every two weeks, the costs can quickly pile up and are not insignificant.

@squirrelacus:

For me currently it is wild mode. I just have to much going in IRL to be checking in daily and playing all my battles. Plus recently my guild lost some key players so one one of our buildings got downgraded. So those people being around to talk with is a missing piece.

Doing a battle every hour of every day, so 24 battles a day, is sometimes a bit much, I agree. If you are looking for a new guild, you can contact “Landstreicher” if you like.

@doombot75:

I prefer to play in Modern as I mainly have CL and REB cards, hoping Conclave Arcana will add to my rebellion deck and I can move up the leagues, do have a bot for wild though for when I can’t spend all my energy

As I already described, I am also hyped on Conclave Arcana and will buy one or the other card to stay competitive in Modern.

In fact, I can understand many of the arguments you have described and see them in a similar way. I personally prioritize Modern because that's where players play against players and not bots, and I buy my cards accordingly. However, I don't sell cards and am therefore also competitive in Wild mode. This is also necessary because I don't always manage to use up my energy. That's when my bot activates in wild mode.

And the Winner is...

It's time to draw the winner of the last giveaway.

How to enter:

Every week there is a question or a task to fulfill. The question or task will always be related to Splinterlands. To participate, you must post a comment under this blog answering the question or completing the task. That's all.

This week's question is...

Which card do you like to play, but you generally think is underrated?

I'll try to post the giveaway every Monday, so you have about a week to enter, at the latest until the next part of the giveaway is published and the winner is announced there. The winner will be drawn at random and will receive one HSBI share sponsored by me.

Sorriel the Bale is very powerful with Lorkus, however, it's not often played.

I think Elias Max Pruitt is underrated, really like using him with Drybone Raider in a ruleset where he can attack from anywhere and get 6 attacks in. EMP gets overshadowed by Lorkus and Tofu but he’s my favourite Rebellion summoner

Pelacor Mercenary I think as a reward card its a pretty solid choice. And since so many were printed I think many people just disregard it.

It would be Wood Nymph as it is a very cost card that has a very useful ability

I really like Katrelba Gobson. I often use Lobb Lowland to play it in regular battles and many times it ends up killing the whole enemy alone.

Hmmm definitely hard question as there are a few for me that fit this description but one major one that comes to mind is Serpent of Eld. Absolutely love using this card in mele only, sneak, opportunity, or any way you can make use w/o much or any fear of Magic damage! Extra poison chance is always a +

Runeseer Sevaya - that's a really nasty card, especially in combination with Weapons-Training from Rage and in Combination with the Summoner Sthispa, another underrated card. Phase is quite powerful, if used right ;-)
